Grotto del Pan Perdü

Sehr nettes junges Personal, das auf besondere Wünsche eingeht. Sehr gute Küche.

Die Lage war gut. Die Deluxe Doppelzimmer mit Balkon waren super und sind sicherlich besser als das normale Doppelzimmer. Wunderbare Terrasse (bisschen mehr Pflege hätte sie nötig), Das Grotto sieht herrlich aus, es hat allerdings viel Potenzial und Luft nach oben. Parkplätze sind kostenlos.

Das Abendessen war für den Preis nicht speziell gut, es war ok, aber auch nicht speziell gut. Die Costine waren lecker. Die Weinkarte ist für Tessiner-Verhältnisse eine Zumutung. Die Zimmer sind nicht klimatisiert. Die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern war gut, im Grotto selber leider nicht so (nicht gewischt, viel Schmutz und dreckiges Geschirr überall), Ticino Tickets waren nicht verfügbar, dieser fehlende Umstand wurde nicht ausgeglichen. Kein Frühstücksangebot.

Lieu très tranquille et charmant.

Carona is perched above Lake Lugano, so has magnificent views across to the Alps. The Grotto del Pan Perdu is nestled into the hill so it looks down onto the road.that winds up the hill. The restaurant terrace is pleasant because it captures the breezes.

The rooms are very poorly ventilated because our window looked directly into a rock wall, 1 metre away. Even with a fan running we couldn't get air into the room. Our son had to ask repeatedly to get a fan in his room. The popular restaurant terrace sits below the rooms (which need windows to be open) and despite it closing at 10pm, the music continued until my husband went down to complain at 11pm. The amenities mentioned coffee and tea making facilities. In fact, there's a coffee maker with two espresso sized cups. Tea? Forget it. Breakfast is advertised on Booking.com for €18 per person. No breakfast is available. We paid for two rooms for two nights but left after one night because we were holed up in dark, hot rooms, where we had to improvise for breakfast. Very disappointing given the prices being charged.
