Great, good value, place to stay for a short visit to the town.

A really good place to stay in the centre of Fontainebleau, simple room, very clean (both room and bathroom) and comfortable, with a good TV. Felt safe to return to at night. Would definitely recommend for a short visit to the town. Town car park a few mins down the street.

Decoration a little ‘tired’ and staircase a little dim. Slightly noisy as there is a street with late night bars nearby but I was staying on a Saturday night so not a surprise! It wasn’t a big deal and I liked the hotel being so central.

Nothing extra, but in an excellent location

The bed was comfy and the staff were nice. The location is excellent. Right by the castle and a short walk to everything in the city center. Also very close to the bus stop. It would be excellent for a one night stay.

It was too barebones. I could’ve used a hand towel. The shower didn’t drain properly. The water didn’t get above lukewarm. It was cold and unpleasant outside, but it was also very cold in the room and the shower was cold. There was no escape from the cold. Also, the WiFi was too weak to work in the room.

An old dated hotel next to bars and restaurants

I like the friendliness of the staff. The linen was clean and the bed was comfy. The receptionist was so kind to help with the luggage and also provided a fan to the room during extreme hot days.

There is no air conditioning, nor ventilation in tge room. That is a big problem. You have to keep windows open in order to have fresh air. Otherwise during hot days the room turns into a sauna. Because it is located next to the street full of bars, it was very noisy till 1..2 am, and then the garbage trucks, and the delivery trucks started their work from 5am. It was impossible to sleep there - it was hot and very noisy. More to that the furniture is very dated, ceiling plaster cracked. The bathroom is organised in an awkward way, and since there is no ventilation it is very damp.

Staff were wonderful, room was clean, location was good in daytime as close to lots of shops and restaurants.

Room was a bit noisy at night as close to road and busy nightlife area. Might ask for a room on other side of the building next time.

Great for the Fontainebleau Chateau visit

Great location for the chateau visit. The 2-star hotel felt more like a 3-star. We didn't try the breakfast since a charming cafe was just 1 min walk away. Would stay there again, if needed to visit Fontainebleau palace again, which itself is a great destination.

Very convenient location. Quiet thanks to double glazing windows. Quick checkin and keys for late return. Very basic furniture but in line with the price.

Friendly, convenient, no frills hotel

Excellent location, in the centre of the town, by the main square and near the chateau. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was quiet. Breakfast was basic continental, but fine.

This is not a luxurious hotel. The room was small. The shower was a hand spray in a tiny cubicle, plus a sachet of shampoo. The only electric socket was hidden behind a panel by the bed. These comments are not intended as complaints. It is what it is and I was happy I chose it.

Location is really good, right in the middle of Fontainebleau.

Room are extremely small, and dated. This is not a luxury hotel, but if you only plan on sleeping there and expect nothing else it will work for you.

Historical hotel with very friendly staff

Very pleasant hotel in an old building in the historical city centre of Fontainebleau and a few steps from the Château and its beautiful gardens. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff was very friendly and attentive during our whole stay. Although the room was rather small and simple it had everything we needed.

The mattress was very soft and uneven and therefore not so comfortable.

well located hotel in a great town, close to a beautiful forest and Barbizon

the hotel is very close to the castle and the center of town. we dont mind walking up to the forth floor so as to enjoy the nice view. our room had a kitchenette.

Great location. Place doesnt have many thrills but it has everything you need at a very good price. It was hot and the manager gave us a brand new fan. Great service overall!
