A gorgeous hotel at affordable prices

The gorgeous DOMHOF isn’t a perfect location in the gorgeous city of Speyer. The restaurant across the street is exquisite & The facilities were amazing. The breakfast room is a lovely representation of old style German hotels It was a lovely stay

there was just some confusion on payment for breakfast, but that was my fault….

Room for improvement

The location and setting of the hotel are fantastic, right in the middle of it all. The room was clean and the night was quiet, despite an old-town festival going on in the surroundings.

The room was rather warm. There was actually quite an ugly, sizable airco device in the middle of the room, but it wasn't connected anywhere so no point in the whole thing. Also the hotel had no bar, even though the courtyard would be a perfect setting for one. There was a brewery next door which seemed to be affiliated to the restaurant, but that was really more of a local fast food joint than a nice place to spend time in.

1 night in Speyer.

Central location and parking. Quiet. Modern room, overlooking courtyard. Double glazed so did not hear bells at night. Easy walk to Rhine. Compact town centre. Very good breakfast.

Espresso machine and capsules but no kettle or tea. Take your own plus creamer. No English channels on the tv except an odd one from France. P

The coffee in the breakfast room was terrible (was it the beans or the machine or both?). There is a Nespresso machine at the reception. It (the Nespresso machine) saved the day 😊

The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety of food to choose from. The rooms were very clean. Overall, a great hotel with a wonderful atmosphere!

Superb hotel in great location

Rooms are in beautifully restored buildings round an ancient courtyard. We had a comfort plus room with airconditioning overlooking the courtyard. A lovely bright airy room with an exceptionally well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast could be taken outside in the shady courtyard or indoors. It was an exceptionally good spread - freshly squeezed orange juice, great selection of meats and cheeses and several hot choices. Bread included wonderfully fresh local Brezeln. Location was superb - only about 5 minutes from the Dom and close to all the main shops and restaurants. A bonus was the Domhof restaurant/ brewery next door. Lovely shady biergarten, excellent beer and really good food. Worth booking a table indoors at weekends as it gets very busy. Speyer is a lovely town and if we visit again, we shall certainly stay at the Domhof.

Very nice small hotel ... renovated rooms.. very clean... Good breakfast... it was a nice relaxing stay...

It was a heat wave when we arrived to Speyer. And after we checked in the room we found out that there was no Air-conditioning in the room... We were lucky that there was another available room with AC... so we changed to it .... but if there was not an available room ... it would've been toooo hot ...

Great Hotel within walking distance to everything. Rooms are renovated and very nice. Staff is responding to all communication right away and is always really friendly and courteous. Everything is super clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful stay.
