Very relaxing and so sad to be leaving!

Absolutely beautiful property. Great location for day trips. Nice surprise to find milk and chocolate’s waiting in the fridge. Cottage has everything you need, including soap for the washing machine. Jonathan is a wonderful host.

Kind welcome gifts left for us. Cottage situated in the middle of a corn field, so very quiet ! Parking by the door was great.

Outdoor furniture needed replacing. The BBQ was rusty and unuseable. There were 5 frying pans but all were badly scratched because only metal tools had been provided.

A cosy winter getaway in a picturesque location!

It was clean, comfortable and well located for our work. We were working on the Polar Express at Leeming Bar station and needed somewhere nearby. Little Welham was comfortable and on a lovely quiet road which meant we were able to get plenty of good quality sleep. The shower was fantastic and lovely temperature, which was very much appreciated after some very long days dancing on a train! Nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan, and he checked in on us to make sure we were ok with bins and to swap over bedding periodically. It’s a beautiful property, and we were even lucky enough to experience it in the snow too! At night there was very little light pollution, so we enjoyed being able to see so many stars in the sky! We enjoyed some lovely days out both in the more local area and out to York a few times. It’s a beautiful part of the country and I’d highly recommend Little Welham as a base for all types of trips.

Excellent retreat near family.

Everything provided, kitchen utensils, washing pods, kitchen roll, milk and biscuits on arrival. Coffee pod machine. What more could we need? Very large comfy bed, wonderful shower and garden with seating.

Bar stools. As a short person I prefer a chair and table.

Excellent place for a peaceful holiday

Excellent quiet place, with just a short drive or walk to centre of Bedale. Host was friendly and welcoming. Overall a great place to stay in North Yorkshire if you want a quiet holiday with good access to the Dales and North York Moors national parks.

An excellent 4 days that far exceeded our expectations.

The cottage was excellent in all respects - all rooms were a generous size and very well laid out. The wi-fi was excellent with no connection problems at all. The video was a very good facility and well used every day. The kitchen was very good with everything we could possibly need, and the bathroom was too - the shower was excellent. Another stay at Little Welham is definitely on the cards.

A Television in the bedroom would have been nice as we don't normally get a lie in so it would have been nice to stay in bed for a while and watch the news / breakfast or something with a cup of tea...

No faults with the property at all and I would recommend it to anyone. A personal comment the outside front garden/ parking area could have been presented better with some more easy maintenance shrubs,
