Great location for exploring Skipton

Great location. Excellent pre arrival communication. Comfortable and clean. Welcoming friendly hosts. Easy 10 mins walk into Skipton and to station if you want to leave the car behind. Lovely treats for both humans and canines on arrival. Fantastic dog friendly park short walk away.

Whilst there is private car parking, this is quite tight and narrow at the back of the house, so you may prefer to park on the road where there was plenty of space.

Simply stunning

Now trading as Ivy Cottage (cottages.com). Beautifully presented house over two floors with very well equipped kitchen. Nice to have off street parking round the back. Dog friendly and very comfortable for humans as well!

It would be good to have a small wash hand basin in the toilet.

Excellent standard of comfort in this traditional Yorkshire house - warm welcome to this cosy house

The house was extremely comfortable. It was warm and very well equipped. I particularly liked the setting of the house and its cosy cottage feel. It was a bonus to have the owner next door - nothing was too much trouble for Annette and yet I had complete privacy when I wanted it . She put herself out to make my holiday go well and all in all it was a marvellous stay.

Skipton for a break away from home.

House was excellent. Spotless, had everything you could need for your stay. Warm and comfortable. We stayed over the New Year and the house was dressed for Xmas which was lovely. The owner lives nearby, was very helpful and friendly. Kept us informed by text on our arrival and when we departed. Walking distance to Skipton. About 15 mins. Skipton is a great small town,with shops, restaurants and bars. Lots of walking in the area.

Only a small niggle was the parking. Its in the lane behind the house but a bit tight if you have a large car. We parked on the street which was ok for us.

Fantastic house, lovely location and perfect host!

Location was perfect, so many things within walking distance and places to take the dog. Host was exceptional and made sure our stay was special (it was our first Christmas away). House was beautifully decorated and had pretty much everything you need! Tea, coffee, sugar provided. Beautiful roll top bath was perfect for relaxing in after a long dog walk. I would certainly come back and further explore the local area.

Nothing! Everything was perfect! If I had to make a small suggestion, a serated knife would have been handy for the kitchen and a large serving spoon, but that's all 🙂 Host has made this place a real home from home!
