Amazing location, but rest far too basic considering rates for the rooms.

Location on the lake, food at the restaurant (evening) and balcony /size of the room and bed.

Breakfast ingredients were cheap considering price per night, terrible coffee (only one bad machine that took forever), focus was clearly on wedding parties (closing off breakfast area, part of the beach etc). Extra costs for parking, room service, etc a bit outrageous considering they charge top room rates while also catering weddings.

Great stay as we went to see beautiful places in the neighbourhood...

the view, the dinners in the evening outside on the terras, the parking.

The room (207 ?) was absolutely not corresponding to a 'superior' room and the bathroom was ridiculously small (hardly could one squeeze in the shower). Amenities poor. Restaurant staff could be more firendly (the barman was ok). Luckily we got a junior suite for the last two nights.

Relaxing stay. Great location to base yourself from.

Hotel was lovely and clean. Very beautiful building. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly and helped us book an excursion. You can rent boats from the hotel. Breakfast was very tasty. Not a huge selection, but enough, and very good quality. Room was lovely. Amazing view. We stayed in a suite. Toiletries in bathroom. Small fridge in room. Air con worked well and was quiet. Slept very well. Quiet rooms. As we were in a suite, we had our own sunbed allocated, so no fight to get one. There were actually loads of sunbeds. I don't think anyone got up early to reserve them.

No replenishing of bottled water. You got one bottle, that was it. Not enough pillows in room. We did ask for another and one was brought to us. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No English tv channel. Not really an English tourist hotel French, Italian, but mainly German guests.

Excellent location at the side of like! View of room directly the lake and the mountains! Deilcious and plenty selection foods, comfortable and clear room with large terrace! Many facilities organizig of the hotel! Helpful , polite staff! Safety parking place!

Amazing hotel for the area, definitely coming back if back at Lago Maggiore.

Hidden gem, great facility, view from the rooms is amazing, spacious and clean room.

They can work on their service, particularly at the restaurant. Parking limited, early June parking was full, can only imagine what happens when they’re sold out.

top location in touristy hotel

the location is excellent. lovely view, access to the little beach of the lake, big pool. It' s a bit of a lost opportunity after the refurbishment: plastic floors, old bathrooms, hairdryers of the 80s. A little more attention and this could have become a gem on the Maggiore Lake. Now it's just one of the many touristy hotels

bathroom wasn't cleaned well. aircon is an old system and you can't control from your room but need to call reception to turn off/on. hairdryer old and not working properly.

If not for the room - everything would be fine.

Location and view - wow.More suitable for the elderly. Very friendly staff.

Our number was named better, but it certainly wasn’t. The TV is funny in size and raised so high that it is impossible to watch.Workers who clean the room do not leave new shampoo and shower gel everyday. Water is paid. Very minimal choice at the breakfast, and the same food every day. There are no vegetables at all.

Pleasant stay in front of lac majeur

The location in front of the lake which is just magical and the very tasty breakfast

The mattress would need to be changed you can feel the metal inside while sleeping. One other point we disliked was the noise, the walls are quite thin we hear everything around in the other rooms and in the corridor.

Very nice location at the lake front with great beach facilities - we would come back here!

The Junior Suites are really nice and newly renovated, which gives them a modern touch, a rather rare standard in this area of Italy. The nice terrace and the view is outstanding. Unfortunately the bath room in our JS was disappointing, however the other JS should have bigger bath rooms. A big plus is that if you book a JS you have your sunbeds reserved all day in the front row. And the beach and restaurant area of the hotel is very nice. The restaurant is good, but a little overpriced and the menu is limited. However there is a simple trattoria on the other side of the street and even if the atmosphere is simple, the food is really good. So this gives a nice alternative to only eat in the restaurant.

The restaurant was nice, but the menu rather limited and expensive. Unfortunately there are not many restaurants around (except for the trattoria on the other side of the street which was excellent). It's beautiful to spend some days at the lake, but the moment you want to leave the hotel you need a car, vespa or boat. There is no little town in Ghiffa and you can't easily walk, since there is no pavement.

Nice view but outdated expensive hotel

The outside of the hotel was pretty nice, the beach area was also nice.

The rooms and all the hotel interior were very outdated, it’s such a pity as the exterior looked quite nice, it could have a big potential. The bathroom, elevator, reception looked like a motel’s facilities. It is definitely not a 4* hotel, The restaurant service was absolutely deceiving, we arrived late on Friday evening, 21.45 and we asked if we could have a drink and if we could have a menu. The waiter said they didn’t have a menu and started reciting some names very fast and was waiting impatiently that we ordered something. 15 minutes after, the staff turned off the lights, so we had to leave the restaurant. In the morning at breakfast, very low quality breakfast, it had a little variety but poor, at 10.30 sharp the waiter came and removed the bottles of water from everyone’s tables saying we are not allowed to have them anymore. The following day he said the opposite, very confusing. No one is serving anything at the beach area, you need to go and take something yourself from a kiosk. They could do so much better, but why bother when you already have clients and they like paying ridiculous prices for motel looking hotels just because the view is nice. Never going back to that hotel, a total rip-off!

Sehr schöner Strand und schöner Pool. Gute Parkmöglichkeit, allerdings für 12 Euro am Tag!

Das gebuchte Zimmer hatte keinen Balkon bzw. Terrasse. Das Badezimmer war zwar sehr groß, aber statt einer Dusche hatte es nur eine Badewanne und beim Duschen war das ganze Bad nass.

Top Lage direkt am See. Parkplätze am Hotel. Sehr schönes altes, aber modernisiertes Hotel mit Pool und direktem Zugang zum See. Netter Service.

Der Kaffee aus dem Automaten beim Frühstück entspricht nicht dem sonstigen Anspruch. Schade. Aber sonst gab es nichts zu meckern.
