Amazing stay

I expected this place to be good but it was truly great. The room was spacious, the bathroom huge and so was the terrace with an AMAZING view of the lake. The kids loved the themed bedroom decor and the breakfast was simply fabulous (lots of fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, hot/cold beverages, yogurt, etc. - anything you could ask for) The manager was lovely and her gesture for my birthday was particularly heartwarming and appreciated. Overall, a great place for families (but also anyone looking for a beautiful and soulful spot to stay by Lago Maggiore).

Lovely place, incredible view and location, with a great breakfast ! On top of that the concept is inspiring (the house is also a shelter to people in need). Would highly recommend !!

We had issue with the timing of the arrival and with traffic that made us arrive very late (which was a problem for the manager), but the communication and her welcome remained very agreeable so we really appreciated that as well

We were lucky to stay one night of our 2 nights stay completely alone in the villa. Paola is a great host, everything was carefully prepared for enjoying the place. Even it was freezing outside, the room and bathroom were well heated as well as other spaces in the villa. We loved the place, villa is amazing as well as the small park around the property. Would love to stay more!

Beautiful house with breathtaking view

My boyfriend and I had a really cute room with a big bathroom and a charming balcony, and the view on the lake was exceptional. Everything was super clean. The area was quiet but not too far from Gulf Borromeo by car, and we were able to park for free near the house. Would recommend for couples and families, the rooms' decorations are inspired from children's books or movies.

Frankie's house is just unique in the best possible way. The villa is full of joy and wonder and beautifully kept. The garden - which overlooks the incredible view - is so tranquil. A wonderful place to unwind and spend time with family.

Extraordinary stay in a fantasy Villa full of magic and joy.

What we loved about this place, was that the lovely decoration inspired in children books. We stayed in the Harry Potter Room with one double bed and a high bed for our two kids. The room was beautifully decorated with Harry Potter theme objects, the hostess left us a Harry Potter book (Band 1) in German translation for our children. Our daughters are big HP fans and appreciated that this attention. The Bedroom was very clean and newly renovated, the bedlinen were also fresh and quite new. The Bathroom is not inside the room. One has to walk 2-3 steps to the hallway and get into the bathroom. It was also renovated, modern and very clean. A Harry Potter quidditch was also hanging from the window! The breakfast was vast and beautifully served in an Alice in Wonderland themed dining room. There was everything every kid loves: muffins, pancakes, cookies, marmalades but also a healthy corner with fresh fruit, a cheese plate, a sausage plate, corn-bread, fruit juices, a coffee machine, milk, hot water for tea and so on. We also could eat in the evening in a pizzeria which recommended us the Hostess. We didn't want to take the car nor have a long way to walk, as our Grandma was traveling with us and could not walk long distances. It was just 7-10 min. by foot with a very friendly service and good prices. We will be looking forward to come sometime back to Frankie's Place on our next trip to Lago Maggiore. Thank you.

The parking was a minus point to this wonderful villa. It does not have a private parking place and you have to see for yourself in the surroundings whether you find a public spot to park. We had luck to find a place about 250m away from the villa. We stayed only one night, so we had light luggage. For other families who plan to stay longer, it is recommendable to leave your stuff right at the entrance to the villa and then park your car.

Sympathetic accommodation with lovely atmosphere and beautiful views to Lago Maggiore

Beautiful villa with lovely garden and great views to Lago Maggiore. A cute village rather up in the hill. A free car park possibility near by but not in the yard of the house. Fun room and bathroom decors with different themes. We also had private terrace with amazing views to enjoy the lake air in the evening for example. So nice and really welcoming hostess helping with everything related to the accommodation and other things you might need. Wide selection of different options for breakfast to eat while enjoying the views outside or inside.

Sound insulation could be better. The sounds from the other rooms are heard quite well. But we probably had a little bad luck with noisy neighbours in all the rooms near by ours while our visit. So might not be an issue with different kind of people staying qt the same time.

A house like in a fairy tale

The location and views are fantastic, overlooking the Lago Maggiore. The lady owner is very charming! When you enter the house you feel like being part of a fairy tale with lots of drawings and proverbs and stories on the walls. The breakfast is plentiful. The rooms are decorated with a lot of imagination.

A little bit more fruit at breakfast would have been even more perfect

Pour information : Il faut juste savoir que l’accès n’est pas simple pour déposer les valises ou pour des personnes qui ont des difficultés à se déplacer.

Das Haus liegt wunderschön, die Zimmer sind sensationell hübsch und einfallsreich eingerichtet und das Frühstück übertraf meine Erwartungen bei weitem. Das Personal war auch super freundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :-)

... ein kleiner Haken ist, dass das Haus aufgrund der Bausubstanz sehr hellhörig ist, aber das wird von all den Vorteilen bei weitem aufgewogen. Wenn die Kinder völlig ohne Not unter die Betten kriechen sieht man, dass dort vielleicht auch häufiger mal nach dem Staub geschaut werden sollte. Davon abgesehen waren Zimmer und Bad aber ganz ausgezeichnet gereinigt.

Magnifique demeure. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une grande chambre spacieuse, c'était très agréable. Super terrasse, malgré le fait que nous avons eu du mauvais temps. Petit déjeuner extra. Personnel adorable.

Le stationnement... Ce n'est pas la fin du monde d'aller se parquer à 5 minutes de marche, nous sommes tout à fait d'accord avec cela. Mais l'accès à pied peut être parfois un peu compliqué, avec les bagages, et certaines voitures qui roulent vite.

Erg leuke themakamers voor gezinnen. Het ontbijt is werkelijk fantastisch en kan genoten worden op een terras met prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Onze badkamer bevond zich op de gang direct naast onze kamer. Onze Harry Potter kamer was relatief klein en zonder airconditioning, maar het koelde 's avonds lekker af. Er zijn prima restaurants en strandjes in de buurt.

Je hebt een auto nodig om de omgeving te verkennen. Parkeren kan in de buurt en was in het hoogseizoen een kleine uitdaging.

Idyllisches Appartement mit super Ausblick!

Die Aussicht, das Frühstück und das Personal vor Ort waren wirklich sehr gut.

Dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt, wäre ja ok, wenn es dann wenigstens Mückengitter an den Fenster gegeben hätte. So mussten wir die Fenster geschlossen halten und es wurde wirklich sehr warm und stickig.
