Although the room was small, there was a lot of storage space. It was conveniently located.
I stayed for 4 nights. For two of those night there was no heating in my room or in most of the hotel. On my final day there was no hot water. I have been promised a refund but it has not yet appeared in my bank account. It is almost a week since I checked out. I have contacted the hotel, but the problem has still not been resolved.

Absolutely nothing.
We booked this property in Interlaken through Booking.com and chose to pay in advance.
On the afternoon of our arrival — before check-in — we called the property to ask about check-in instructions and to inform them that we might arrive after 10:00 p.m., which was the official check-in cutoff time. The staff member assured us that we had nothing to worry about because it was a “self check-in.”
However, when we arrived late that evening in a small town, there was absolutely no one there. No staff, no instructions, no key box, nothing. The emergency contact number provided did not work, and no one answered our calls. We were left outside in freezing temperatures (around 0°C) until nearly 12:00–12:30 a.m., trying to figure out how to access the room.
We only had a room number — but how were we supposed to enter the room without any access instructions?
Thankfully, some kind local residents who happened to be walking by helped us find alternative accommodation for the night. Otherwise, we would have been completely stranded.
This was a very unfortunate and stressful experience caused by incorrect and misleading information from the property. We did everything we could to prevent this situation by calling ahead, and we were explicitly told not to worry. Arriving in a foreign country at night and being left outside in freezing weather with no way to contact the property is unacceptable.
Very disappointing experience.

The staff here was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Thy held our luggage until our room was ready and gave us a great suggestion of what to do for the day. Going to Murren was the best thing we’ve done in Switzerland so far. Breakfast was included and there was homemade bread! Room was clean and the beds were really comfortable.

Old Chalet and Carpet.

Close to train station and shops. Loved the traditional feel of the Chalet
It can be a bit noisy with the wooden boards and flooring
8.0 / 10.0
Staff were lovely and you get a gorgeous view
The lights at the front of the building shine directly into your room which was a bit annoying

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from Interlaken west station. It offers absolutely stunning views of the glaciers and is situated at a rather peaceful area.
The rooms are traditional Chalet style and were quite cozy.
The only thing I'd point out is that the double bed had two single mattresses. I couldn't quite understand this as all double beds had the same mattresses to offer.

freindly staff, free breakfast and close to everything
you can hear lots of noise and you dont actually get to stay in the nice looking house/chateu that is in the picture, theres a guest house behind it

The hotel is very centrally located and extremely easy to reach from Interlaken West train station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was cozy and warm, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly.
Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of options, making it a great start to the day. The checkout process was quick and hassle-free, and we were even given water and juice for our onward journey, which was a very thoughtful touch.
I will definitely stay here again whenever I’m in Interlaken.
The blankets were small for a person of my height (6ft 1) and were separate for a double bed. That made it a little uncomfortable to sleep.

Reserved parking was helpful. Staff were cordial. Breakfast was okay.
Hotel and rooms do not look like the professional photos on Booking.com. Bath was not cleaned professionally, quite a few residual hair. Strangely smelly balcony, can’t keep the door open for fresh air. Excessive noise from people walking on the floor above, impossible to sleep peacefully.

Rooms not the quietist but our sleep was not affected.

Liked nothing about the property & staff.
I was even denied water at night from the staff lady at reception.

Excellent location. It's just a 10-minute walk to Interlaken West station. Bus stops close by, too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the snow-capped mountains, which was lovely.
The hotel is rather dated and needs updating. For example still using shower curtains. However, it was a new one.

It was a nice building. the location is at free bus in town, and 5 minuets from train The bed was comfortable . The breakfast was good With scrambled and boiled eggs and a good coffee .
The staff where more than helpful exceptional. Great place for price. I would stay there again.
We had 2 midsize suit cases that we had to put on floor, when opened there was not much room to walk. Most places in switserland i have stayed are small like that.
The shower curtain needs weights because it stuck to body when shower turned on .
No eating in room.

The staff was very helpful in recommending sightseeing things to do while we were there. Very nice, quaint place to stay and close to many things.
9.0 / 10.0
Staff were all friendly and communication was easy. Room was always clean.
Only one pillow for each person was provided and not very comfortable as it’s flat. But we also didn’t ask for more pillows, and we were still able to sleep okay, so all good! Wish there were more hot food options for breakfast.

Quiet location near the West station. Quirky charm and nice breakfast.
A little noisy sometimes as the sound proofing between floors wasn’t very good as it’s an older building. The bed and was bit too firm and the pillow too soft for my taste, but it’s often the case in Europe hotels.
8.0 / 10.0
Good breakfast, good location friendly staff.
Rooms a bit dated perhaps need more modernised. Paid extra for a balcony but it didn't have a light or a table and it overlooked the car park.

It’s location is good
The staff was not pro active and helpful
5.0 / 10.0
Old school alpine feel to the place.
The staff were basically mannequins. They had the friendliness, charm and helpfulness of cardboard cut outs. Ridiculous really.
While I waited to check in I flicked through the hotels comment book. They need to get rid of it. 😁 I read some shocking reviews, so I had a warning of what reception I was about to receive. It was too late to change for me though.
Worst breakfast during my 10 days and 5 hotels in Switzerland also.
But a welcome from staff is my main criteria and this place failed on every encounter.

Short walk from Interlaken West station. Next to bus stop. Quiet area with a few bars and restaurants. Traditional exterior. Decent breakfast.
Rooms a little dated and no Fridge in room for medicines drinks etc.
9.0 / 10.0
friendliness and professionalism of recepation staff, parking rate was very reasonable
breakfast was very crowded and lack of space, food was of limited variety.
5.0 / 10.0
They have big parking on site for 5 CHF per night and bed was in fact comfortable.
First of all, photos are nowhere near the reality. We booked and paid for a superior room for 4 nights and left after 3. The room was located in an annex overlooking the main building and parking, so we had no view of anything and it was incredibly noisy, we could barely sleep and rest. The room is very outdated, carpet is very dirty, bathroom is very small and shower looks like something from the 80s. Breakfast is incredibly basic, only coffee is decent. We’ve been 4 times in Switzerland over the last year but we have never been this dissatisfied with a hotel, this has nothing to do with the swiss quality we’ve seen until now, I highly doubt the owner is a local. Location is also pretty bad, you are close to Interlaken West, but about 20 min away from Interlaken Ost and all trains going to Jungfraujoch leave from the Ost station.

Nothing really

Excellent location, Chalet-type traditional building
Morning shift front-desk not much observing surroundings or greeting guest. Pity as evening front-desk colleague was very helpful and experienced!
5.0 / 10.0
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The view was spectacular. The room was very clean. The location was perfect. We got guest passes that enabled us to ride the buses for free.
From the description, I was expecting more of a hotel (i.e., with room service, ice buckets, etc.) This was more of a motel feel; granted a lovely motel (our room had two levels) - it just wasn't as fancy as I'd expected.

This hotel offers a nice traditional chalet experience in a great location—close to the city centre, Interlaken West train station, and the ferry terminal. Our room was very basic with a small bathroom, but it had a beautiful view of the Alps and Jungfrau, which was a real highlight. Breakfast was simple but decent, served in a cosy breakfast room that added a nice touch of charm. Overall, it’s a no-frills place—nothing wow, but perfectly fine for a short stay in Interlaken.
During our stay there was a small hiccup with our room door not being fully closed after cleaning, but the staff were very apologetic and attentive once we mentioned it, which we appreciated.

We had a room with the mountain view and the view was great. Some staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very plain. Some staff were quite cold and even arrogant.

Breakfast was good! Quiet spot, but it was a quick walk to the train station and stores.
The room was smaller than I thought, but it was a good hotel and helpful staff!

The beds were not comfortable and gave me a back ache. The bathroom was tiny without a spot to hang your clothes

It was a beautiful hotel and we really enjoyed the breakfast. It was a pretty convenient location and Francisco at the front desk was an absolute delight. He was friendly and very helpful.
We didn’t realize how hot it would be and the property didn’t have air conditioning. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great either, but we managed just fine.

Breakfast was nice. Wonderful views. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Francesco at desk service is amazing. He was very helpful in helping find our lost luggage (which we eventually did).
The weather was very hot, which made the rooms hot. The upstairs loft needed more fans to move the air.
