Nice stay in Sirmione

The proprietors and staff were very nice and welcoming indeed. The hotel style and decor is lovely. The location is great, being close to the lake and near some very nice restaurants. Bus stops nearby. About 20 minute walk to the gateway into the old town. A very enjoyable stay.

We probably hadn't paid enough attention to the small print and so wasn't expecting the charge of 15 Euros per day for parking. That's our fault and was a lesson to properly read everything on Booking.com. I've no doubt the charge is typical for the area. Also the area is more touristy than any other of the locations we visited on our driving holiday, however none of this distracted from our stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was comfortable, with pleasant and helpful staff, across street from the lake.

The owners and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

We didn’t have a car and we went to another hotel in the nearby town of Desenzano, that had the same name, rather than this hotel in Sirmione, ( this hotel), by ferry and walking, only to discover the error on our part. With bags in tow, we took a taxi back to this Hotel Villa Rose. It was an expensive, time consuming and emotional mistake, but once we got to this hotel, in Sirmione, the owners were so very nice and welcoming.

A cozy hotel next to the lake

Super nice staff with super good service, provide all sorts of information about places of interests and many good local restaurants. The room is not big but super clean. The breakfast is very good with many choices. Location is not close to the castle, but very close to the lake.

A little gem for a perfect stay in Sirmione

This was a delightful, friendly place to stay. The efficiency and professionalism of the sisters who own it was exceptional. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and we loved the garden room where we could relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Parking was convenient on site for a daily charge. Location was great for the small newer town and lakeside with a good choice of restaurants nearby. A brisk 20 minute walk will get you to the stunning old town of Sirmione-not to be missed.

We struggled to find the hotel on Google maps and ended up parking in a a public car park and walking a few minutes to find it-maybe tell future guests that it is located beside Cucina 31 which will make finding it from the car easier.

Very enjoyable stay.

Very friendly greetings in this hotel and very detailed information about the facilities and the area. Hotel spotless. Great breakfast. Comfortable room with small balcony. Great views out over lake. Nice outdoor seated area to relax and enjoy some conversations or refreshments from the bar. We parked in car park in front of hotel and a charge of 15 euro was applied. Good location. Plenty of restaurants within easy reach.

Super friendly and helpful staff. They are very knowledgeable about surrounding area and can advice on places and activities. Followed their recommendation for a restaurant and it was a perfect fit. Were positively surprised by the coffee and food during our breakfast. We loved the serving and taste was incredible.

Perfect stay!

Excellent location, everything is nearby. We had a view to both the lake and the mountains! The staff were very nice and helpful, even going out of their way to help us. The rooms are cozy and the bed is comfortable.

For our needs, a refrigerator instead of the minibar (cooler) in the room would have made it even better.

The hotel staff was lovely and very helpful. The hotel was very easy to find and the room very clean. breakfast variety was excellent and all felt home made and fresh.

The hairdryer in the bathroom is very outdated and does not work properly. The hotel should invest in proper hair dryers.

This was a nice stay in general, mostly thanks to the nice hosts and the cleanliness.

The hosts are exceptionally welcoming, helpful and nice. Room and the entire hotel were clean and quiet, breakfast was very good. Good location, very close to the lake and main street with a lot of restaurants. Close (~ 2 km) to the old city. Parking at the hotel was always available.

The rooms are a bit oldy, the pillows and mattresses not comfortable enough, the bathroom was not ventilated good enough and the equipment there was outdated .

Welcoming small hotel with wonderful staff

The hotel is in a lovely part of Sirmione, located just across from the lake. The two sisters and the gentlemen that run it work hard to ensure you enjoy your stay, they are so lovely. Breakfast is very enjoyable and freshly made and the coffee is lovely . Our rooms were very comfortable and had been recently renovated, air conditioning was good. I would try to get one with a full sea view next time we stay - and we will be back. We got a taxi to the hotel from Desenzano train station and the hotel organised this for us on the way home. They also gave us great information on the local markets and what towns to visit and how best to get to them. We used the shuttle bus a few times to get to the old town (costs €1 if you buy the tickets in advance or €1.50 if you buy them onboard) but mostly we walked, it takes about 30 minutes and is a really lovely walk. The old town is amazing, I felt as if we were on a film set at times it is so beautiful.

Cosy and enjoyable stay with great service!

Balcony with neighborhood and lake view, good AC, very nice breakfast, splendid service from the most amazing and friendly couple! Good restaurants nearby.

Be aware of little fly and mosquitoes and close the windows at night. We learned that when we turn the lights off they fall from the ceiling right on the bed. So the best solution was to leave the lights in the bathroom, they move there and don’t bother anymore. Plus, they don’t really byte, so not a big deal.
