EVERYTHING! I thought we came for the “Kunstuur” exhibition but I think this beautiful B&B trumped the exhibition by a long shot! The house has been lovingly restored, upgraded, decorated with nothing less than exquisite materials and designer pieces. Original leadlight windows, guilded wallpaper, freestanding designer bath tub, Illy coffee machine. Your own hifi in the room including discs….
An AGA stove in the kitchen where we had breakfast. And a superbly welcoming and very interesting host.❤️ Central location. We’ll be back and that’s a promise!

Only stayed for one night but it was a great experience! Wonderful old house full of character and interesting things. Location is very central and walkable from the train station. We really enjoyed breakfast - very good food and chat with Serge and our fellow guests. We hope to come back to Mechelen, it has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly place, and we would definitely stay here again. Thankyou Serge also for showing us your mighty vinyl collection! 🙂

Serge is a wonderful host and his traditional B&B is an absolute treasure trove of character and charm. The interior design is eclectic, quirky, artistic, and sophisticated, with fascinating details and unique touches around every corner.
From the moment we arrived, Serge was incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. His passion for the local area is infectious, and he is a wealth of information, offering excellent recommendations and insights that helped make our stay even more enjoyable.
What really stood out was his genuine care for his guests. When one of us mentioned having a headache, he kindly offered some spare headache pills, which was a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects his caring nature.
The location is wonderful—close to everything you could want to see and do, while still maintaining the cosy atmosphere of a traditional B&B.
If you're looking for somewhere with personality, warmth, and an unforgettable sense of place, Serge's B&B is a fantastic choice. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area
