The owner was very friendly and professional, the house was well prepared and clean, the location was excellent.

Lovely BnB in Antwerp

Such a great location, and a lovely apartment. Fairly close to the metro if you need it. Shops and restaurants nearby, and easily walkable to the city square. The apartment was nicely decorated, and clean.

The stairs could be unnerving for some guests.

The location of the house was excellent, and the landlord was pleasant.

This house could have been amazing with its excellent location; however, sadly, the lack of cleanliness was disappointing. Upon arriving and getting up to the living area, we immediately noticed the floor had not been vacuumed or cleaned as there were crumbs on floor and even popcorn remains under coffee table. The area rugs and dining chairs were stained and unpleasant. After washing my hands in kitchen and reaching for the folded kitchen towel, I found encrusted food on it. Crumbs are one thing, but after going upstairs to bedrooms, I saw that the pillows in bedroom with bathtub looked "used." Sure enough, the sheets had not been washed and stunk of body odor. Instead of being able to enjoy our first afternoon, I had to wash all the bedding and remake bed (and sheets were too small). Luckily, there is washer and dryer as all towels provided were left wet. This lack of cleanliness made us unable to settle in for our three nights as I questioned if anything was really clean.

Top locatie in oude centrum van Antwerpen

Erg fijne locatie, midden in het historische centrum van Antwerpen. Alles op loopafstand. Oudere kinderen konden ‘s avonds zelfstandig nog even de stad in. Auto geparkeerd bij Brabo, op 3 min lopen. Reserveren was in meivakantie niet nodig. Appartement/villa bevindt zich op de 1ste, 2e en 3e verdieping. Je moet wel goed ter been zijn, stijle trap naar boven. Heel mooi historisch pand dat zeer stijlvol gerenoveerd is. Zeer ruime woonkamer met grote keuken. Op tweede verdieping 1 slaapkamer met twee persoons bed met bad en wastafel. Een slaapkamer met twee losse bedden. Mooie ruime badkamer met inloopdouche en apart toilet. Op derde verdieping nog een slaapkamer, die via trap te bereiken is. Deze kamer is niet af te sluiten, wat voor ons geen probleem was.

Het toilet op de tweede verdieping is niet af te sluiten.

Stijlvol appartement in hartje Antwerpen met een wow-factor

Het is een prachtig, modern appartement, smaakvol ingericht in een fraai gerenoveerd oud gebouw, gelegen in een pittoresk steegje. Dit alles bevindt zich in het hart van Antwerpen, met talloze restaurants en winkels om de hoek. Aan de voorzijde heb je uitzicht op een historisch museum en aan de achterzijde op de grote kerktoren. De gastvrouw ontving ons zeer hartelijk en we konden onze tassen alvast neerzetten. Bovendien was de borg een dag na het uitchecken al weer vrijgegeven op onze creditcard. Parking Brabo ligt op 5 minuten lopen van het appartement.

De bedden waren wat aan de zachte kant, dit is natuurlijk persoonlijke smaak, maar wij vonden dit wel een klein minpuntje. Verder is het heel comfortabel. Alleen als je slecht ter been bent moet je dit appartement niet boeken omdat je een steile trap op moet. Ook voor kleine kinderen is het minder geschikt. Verder heeft het helemaal de wow-factor.

Prachtige plek in het hart van Antwerpen

Het huis kijkt uit op het mooi Plantin-Moretus museum en ligt aan een rustig steegje. De indeling is verrassend. Het oude pand is mooi gerenoveerd en het is prettig hier te verblijven.
