Perfect stay

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Le Veneri del Golfo! The landlady Betty kept the place impeccably clean and was such a friendly person to chat with. Every morning, we even got a lovely breakfast basket, which was such a nice touch. The hotel also has a charming little terrace for each room, perfect for relaxing or having a meal. Highly recommend this place for a cozy and welcoming stay!

Great hotel feel and good value

Beautiful rooms with all of the luxuries: great aircon, a big shower, comfy bed, snacks and mini bar. Really comfortable and we loved the balcony area too! The host was very helpful at check in!

Beautiful room close to La Spezia

The furnishings of this place are wonderful, its a beautiful room and when we arrived we had a welcome basket of snacks that got refilled every day which was so cute. The location isn't in the city but is a very quick and easy bus ride away. We didn't eat at any restaurants nearby but there is a supermarket very close which was great!

The wifi was a bit spotty and the bed wasn't the most comfortable ever but wasn't too bad for a few nights.

Betty was an amazing host. Room was bigger than expected and cleaned everyday. Good location, bus stop was just a minute away. La Spezia Central station was just 10 minutes away where there is an easy access to Cinque Terre. Fully recommend this location.

A convenient stay

Good value for money considering La Spazia is so expensive. Very nice host and big room, clean and has some extra treats like a mini bar and snacks.

It is a 2 star hotel after all, so the sheets could have been softer. Location is a bit far from center and neighborhood felt kind of sketchy when we arrived there at night, but it’s fine with a car (street parking available for 0.5 during the day and free during the night), and the town is small so you should be able to get around fine.

Perfect stay

Everything was perfect, the room was clean everyday, we had snacks and fresh water replaced everyday too and a coffee machine was also available. Located in a quiet zone if you need to rest. It's a 20min walk to La Spezia Migliarina Train station and close to the Marina. Betty was fantastic and always available to give us recommendations. Thank you for making things easy !

Exceptional Stay

Exceptional stay. The facility is an appartment with many rooms. Room is equiped with everything you need, the decoration is modern and gorgeous. The welcome is very warm by the owner. A basket of sweets is provided. Coffee and a coffee machine can also be used. All in all an exceptional stay, very recommended.

The stay was amazing! Our apartament was with a terrace, very cosy and clean. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. Such a welcoming place! We travelled there for our honeymoon and they greeted us with a bottle of champagne. :) Highly recommend!

Location is in a fairly industrial area next to the port. Not the fault of the owners or a problem per se, just not a location I would choose again, however I suppose that's reflected in a good price / value for money. The trattoria o' sole mio nearby is great honest Italian food with good quality and generous serves.

Wonderful service and perfect room

The hostess and her husband were absolutely wonderful. She waited for me despite being outside the normal check-in time, and her husband even helped me when I was unable to figure out how the locks worked late at night. Moreover, the room was perfect. Clean, well decorated - it felt like home.

The room and bathroom was super clean, nice balcony for night stay and smokers like myself. Owners are also very friendly, and they will assist as much as possible for any demands. My recommendation for all who like to visit and stay in La Spazia.

The room seems to be newly renovated and the staff has been very welcoming and put an effort in a great welcome. The room and the hotel seemed quite clean. The room was large and the AC was pretty good. Parking was easy to find on the street and is not expensive.

We were planning on taking a train from La Spazia in order to visit Cinque Terre. We didn't do a good enough intelligence work before arriving as the hotel was farther from the train station than we have realized. This meant that transportation to Cinque Terre was harder than we'd have hoped. The way to the train station isn't too bad as you can take a short bus trip (around 10 minutes) and arrive pretty close to the train station. The main problem was on the way back. We finished a long day at Cinque Terre with a dinner and were trying to get back around 10pm. Apparently, at the time we were there, the bus from the train station only runs once per hour and passed shortly before we arrived. Instead of waiting for 60 minutes to the next bus, we walked for 30 minutes from the train station and some of the way back hasn't felt very safe, though I think it's more than a feeling rather than a true risk. In a hindsight we should have just taken a taxi from the train station, nevertheless, if you're planning on going to Cinque Terre, the distance from the train station can be somewhat inconvenient. Perhaps the hotel can provide some more thorough tips to visitors who want to visit Cinque Terre, like advising that the bus frequency isn't great and that a Taxi is the better solution. Maybe even mention which Taxi app is popular in La Spezia, etc.

La Spezia and Cinque Terre with a balanced charge

Veneri del Golfo is a gorgeous choice if you want to visit La Spezia. This lodge is just outside the central area but the heart of town is within a walkable distance (15 min.) or reachable by bus with a close stop just round the corner. Further, you can easily reach the railway station by bus and visit the famous Cinque Terre. Cleanness is flawless and as such the hospitality and kindness of the staff, definitely far beyond the average. Spaces in the room are efficiently arranged and the furniture is modern and functional. A large variety of sweets is available for breakfast with an awesome coffee in pods. Air conditioning is efficient and properly maintained.

The owner is very nice and she clean our room everyday! The hotel and the room is amazing. She gave us free coffee (awesome coffee machine) and free snacks. You can take the bus to the city centre from near hotel bus stop with the bus number 1,9 or L. Can buy the bus ticket near the tobacco shop one way ticket will cost 1.50 or 2 €. If you are sushi and Asian food lover I recommend you to go Miho restaurant near hotel (walk 10 mins / 2 bus stop ). It’s buffet all you can eat!

Friendly staff, room was cleaned properly.

Poor breakfast - a basket full of chips and other food which is not for breakfast. Also, the noisy environment, could not open the window because of it. Thin walls of the room, could hear the neighbours.

Great location, comfortable, thoughtful little touches

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable, clean and cozy. Elisabetta was a superb hostess and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The little terrance and the espresso machine was such a nice bonus too! It was great to have the drying rack for our wet towels, the mini refrigerator, the hair dryer, the closet with hangers and the little basket of snacks made for a very pleasant stay.

Elisabetta is a great host, she’s very kind and gave us a very warm feeling immediately! I can strongly recommend this stay. The room has a great terras as well and an awesome bed. It’s just on a 5 min ride to the train station of la Spezia if you would like to visit cinque terra, which is perfect!
