Fantastic location. Bear in mind you have to pay the Grossglockner fee to get to the hotel. Danielle the host was extremely helpful given the difficult conditions that we arrived in. Snow in mid June! Five guys on motorcycles She looked after us superbly. Highly recommended.

It has an amazing view of all the mountains. Best view from a hotel that I have encountered. It is an older property but well kept. There is a check-in cutoff time which you should be mindful of. Heater in the room was good. Hot water also was good. Hosts were cordial and respectful. The lady who checked us in was nice to us. It is right next to the museum and welcome center at the top of the Grossglockner. Overall a decent place.

The check-in cut off time was a bit perturbing. We arrived late and the hotel was closed. I called the phone number but nobody picked up. Instead I climbed to the back of the hotel and knocked on the window until someone responded. Luckily the staff was still there and an older gentleman let us in and assisted with our luggage also. The lady was kind enough to prepare us a plate of food with drinks. I think it would've been better if the hotel would have called us to confirm/remind us of the check in cutoff as once you are there, there is no one to assist beyond those times. Or else they can institute a self-check in thing for people arriving late. Arriving outside the property in the middle of no where with no one answering the phone OR with no instructions at the door in freezing cold weather is not a good thing. So that can be improved. Also, a bit more variety in the breakfast like scrambled eggs or bacon etc can add to the experience. If I had a choice and had known how basic the breakfast buffet is I wouldn't have opted for it in hindsight.

Location, it's superb! it's my second time being there and i enjoyed it a lot. love the silence of the mountain, when daily tourist leave the platform

Breakfast had only eggs, cerial and some bread. Dinner is super expensive - like schnizel is 40eur and just average.
