We highly recommend this place - was a lovely location with fantastic hosts.

It was set in a beautiful location. The hosts were really friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The bed was very comfortable.

A hotel with a soul

Everything was excellent. First of all, I would like to point out that the room was extremely clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the center, the church, nature and mountains. It seems that the hotel is owned by the family that runs it and it is clear that they do it with all their heart. The breakfast was also excellent. The breakfast served savory and sweet dishes. I would like to note that the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town. I don't think any hotel in the center of town has such a good location in terms of views as this hotel. All in all, excellent accommodation.

This is truly a great place to stay and we would return (and I hope we will). Any criticism we might write here would be purely motivated by personal preferences and would be nitpicking. So we have nothing to complain about

Picture postcard location and friendly owners.

We stayed at this delightful family run hotel for one night during a road trip along the Grossglockner Alpine Road. It was a perfect stopover point. The setting is picture postcard pretty and the whole ambience of the place is tranquil and relaxing. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owners and were exceptionally well looked after in the evening by our lovely waitress. We had booked a table for dinner and breakfast was included in our room rate. The food in the evening and for breakfast was very good - in the morning our eggs were cooked to order. All in all it was just what we needed and we wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

The host Claus and his wife Claudia are an amazing couple. They took care of us and helped us stay there comfortably. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and we will definitely come back in summer.

3 Day skiing break

Usually, I stay at bigger Hotels, but we rediscovered, how great it is to stay in a family-run hotel. We appreciated the host, location, fantastic view, sauna, cleanliness, and restaurant for dinners. The bus stop to Heliigenblut/Grossglockner ski area was actually in front of the ski depot room. Wifi worked excellently in my room. If we come back to the region, we come back to this accommodation!

View to Grossglockner, quiet area, cottage has restaurant, river very close to the cottage.

There was no microwave, no dishwasher, no broom and dustpan. In 8 days there was no cleaning at all, no change of towels.

Welcoming and friendly accommodation in a great location

We ate in the restaurant on both nights and it was excellent food. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and very supportive. A wonderful place to stay.

The room was in the top of the property and it wasn’t as nice as some of the others we enjoyed during our time in Austria. However, the facilities were very clean and we only paid for a standard double room (ie rather than one with a balcony) and so could not expect more than that.

Weiterempfehlung unsererseits - freundlich, fair, menschlich

Lage an Einstiegsstelle Skibus (Bus ist da noch leer!), Küche - Chef kocht, freundliche Frau des Hauses, Familienbetrieb, Aufteilung des Appartments, guter Kaffee, Eis-Palatschinken, Hirschbraten, Kaspressknödelsuppe, Lachs an Ofenkartoffel, Hausspieß, faire Preisgestaltung, danke fürs Borgen des Rucksacks, gutmütige alte Hundedame, Gästekarte bot gratis geführte Skitour (Ranger Markus hat seine Sache gut gemacht) und auch weitere interessante Ausflüge wie zB Sterne-Beobachtung oder das kleine aber feine Museum im Ort, bei Buchung Frühstück/Abendessen wird Appartment 2x während der Woche geputzt und geputzt wurde tadellos;

Nicht gefallen wäre übertrieben - deshalb idR mit Relativierung, wo für uns weniger relevant - bitte als Anregung verstehen: Kein Neubau aber gepflegt, fein dekoriert und sukzessive modernisiert; Speisenauswahl aufgrund der maximalen Gästezahl sowohl am Morgen als auch am Abend überschaubar - Qualität der Zubereitung aber sehr gut und am Abend meistens zusätzlich ein Tagesgericht abseits der Karte. Leider nur einmal in der ganzen Woche außer den täglich gleichen Gebäck-Sorten zusätzlich Vollkornbrot zum Frühstück - da wäre mehr Variabilität leicht umsetzbar. Süßspeisen wie Kuchen oder Krapfen beim Frühstück haben im Gegensatz zum restlichen Speisenangebot nicht überzeugt; extrem trockene Raumluft wohl bedingt durch das Heizungssystem; Polster in den Betten haben absolut nicht überzeugt; Mehr konkretes Wissen über das Skigebiet oder Routentips bzgl. Winterwanderwegen bzw. Skitouren (man erhofft sich ja doch immer den einen oder anderen Geheimtipp) abseits der Leistungen der Gästekarte, die ohnehin jeder nachlesen kann, wären hilfreich bzw. erhofft gewesen.

Petit chalet tranquille,avec une jolie vue depuis notre balcon sur la jolie église du village. Une avalanche de décors de coeurs partout,dans la chambre et le restaurant,un peu fleur bleue mais charmant. Les propriétaires sont serviables et sympathiques.

Prachtige lokatie, heerlijk eten, echt familiehotel

Het eten. ‘s Avonds hebben we een lamsgerecht gegeten dat voortreffelijk was toebereid. En het ontbijt ‘s ochtends was ook uitstekend.

Er is geen lift. En hoewel we aanvankelijk een kamer op de derde verdieping zouden hebben geboekt, kregen we er één op de tweede, wat erg aardig was van het management (maar het was ook erg rustig). Dus toch nog twee trappen op met een zware koffer.

Das Hotel-Restaurant Sonnblick ist sehr gemütlich und liegt in wunderschöner Lage – perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die freundlichen Inhaber, die mit viel Herzlichkeit für ihre Gäste da sind. Auch die Küche am Abend ist ausgezeichnet, das Essen war sehr lecker. Rundum ein perfekter Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert!

Schöner idyllischer Ort mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern und super leckerem Essen

Sehr freundlich empfangen, tolles Abendessen, Ausflugstips waren sehr hilfreich, Apartment mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, schönes Frühstück, die Umgebung wunderschön mit ca. 10-15 Minuten ist man im Zentrum von Heiligenblut, rundum ein schöner Aufenthalt, wir kommen gern wieder !!!! Ganz liebe Grüße ❤️

Όμορφη τοποθεσία

Είναι ένας ξενώνας σε ένα απίθανο μέρος, πολύ γραφικό. Το βρίσκεις έυκολα στο τέλος του δρόμου και έχει άνετο χώρο για να παρκαρεις τη μηχανή σου εκεί. Τα δωμάτια είναι μεγάλα, αλλά στα πάνω που ήμασταν εμείς λόγω της κλίσης της στέγης υπήρχαν δυσκολίες στη μετακίνηση στο χώρο. Το μπάνιο άνετο και καθαρό. Επίσης στο ισόγειο λειτουργει μπαρ (η νεαρή που δουλέυιε εκεί ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενική και μας βοήθησε να επιλέξουμε ποτό) από όπου πήραμε μπύρα το βράδυ και καθήσαμε στην αυλή.

Το πρωινό δεν το ακουμπήσαμε στην κυριολεξία! Ουτε κάν τον καφέ.. Πέρα από το γεγονός ότι υπήρχαν πάνω στα φαγητά άπειρες μύγες για τις οποίες παραπονεθήκαμε και η οικοδεσπότης μας είπε πως δε μπορεί να κάνει κάτι, μας έβαλε να φάμε σε τραπέζι που είχαν πριν καθίσει άλλοι το οποίο δεν είχε μαζέψει ενώ υπήρχαν πολλά άλλα διαθέσιμα - προφανώς για να μη λερώνει άλλο από τα υπόλοιπα τραπέζια. Δεν το έχω ξαναδεί αυτό, το θεωρώ φοβερή αγένια στον επισκέπτη. Απλά σηκωθήκαμε και φύγαμε χωρίς να φάμε. Επίσης δεν υπάρχει ασανσέρ οπότε το να μεταφέρεις τα πράγματα σου στον τρίτο όροφο ήταν δύσκολο.

Pekná a dobre vybavená izba. Veľmi priateľski a pozorni hostitelia. Raňajky boli bohaté a chutné. Privítali sme moznosť večere a prijemnych chvil strávených priamo v penzione. Moznost dopravy autobusom do lyžiarskeho strediska … výhoda konečnej stanice.
