Liked the old feel but would have liked to see more staff. Someone to say good morning

It was quiet and the bed and sheets very comfortable.

Did not see the parking that was available so had to park in the street. It was not marked. Breakfast was so so. No staff seen but I guess some people would like that.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay as the location was great.

It felt very nostalgic as it reminded me of my grandmother's home. Loved the items and pictures and letters about the history of the home.

After reading some of the comments about your breakfast, I expected much more of a breakfast than what we received. I am not a fan of store bought Costco egg dishes to serve. I did enjoy the granola with fresh fruit and greek Yougart. I was also a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Under the bed was dusty.

I enjoyed the old house but it needed some tlc

Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Location was very good. The bed was comfortable

The bed was too high. I could not reach light over sink in the room. The stairs were very steep. The shower spout was also too high. The shower certainly had pink mold on the bottom.

Great location, walking distance near plenty of great restaurants and downtown. We had easy access to our room through the garden walkway. We were able to park on the street in front of B&B.

The house and room was great. location teriffic quiet breakfast included. THE Atmosphere one of the best times at a stay over. Love the Victorian old nostalgic motif .Close to everything.

We stayed in Black Barn, which is an amazing historical building. I love their design, furnitures, bathroom, patio, fireplace, windows, and so on. Public area is also spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is yummy!

We set up to stay one night for our 10 year Anniversary it was a Nightmare, plus they kept our money

First of all we asked for a beach front view, your company lied it's in the middle of town away from the beach, then they stole my money when I cancelled after I seen where it was located.

That Expedia is behind this totally bogus room in a old house miles away from the beach. False Advertisement 💯%

Charming Country bed and breakfast for those curious about Amish life

Conveniently located and good breakfast served in a nice big communal dining area that also serves as a shared living room for the guests to use the rest of the time. Our room was spotless and everything looked new.

I did not like the bathroom because the door was see thru and not soundproof which is just plain no good and if I had known would not have liked that at all. The shower in a shared space with toilet had a gross curtain that was constantly touching me and sticking to me while I was in the shower because it’s a small narrow shower and that fabric when wet will stay on you until you remove it. It just wasn’t great.

What a lovely place!

We stayed at Maple Room in the Black Barn. We loved everything about it! The hosts were very polite and extremely helpful in everything we needed. At our room, we spent some time out in the patio and by the fireplace, but our favorite was the breakfast table!! People of all ages, from different backgrounds and countries having a delicious breakfast all around a wooden table, chatting, sharing tips and experiences. It was such a delight! Oh I wish we could have stayed longer! When we are back in Cambria, we are definitely staying at The Squibb Houses!

Wonderful charming old house

We stayed 2 nights in this charming house.. the chimney makes it even cosier . We were in the Hickory room, surronded by nature. At that time of the year, flowers are everywere .Wonderful! . Breakfast has home make cakes and biscuits. We felt like home. Nice stop on the way to LA The ocean is wilder in Cambria than in Cayakos and if f you have binoculars ,you can try to see whales and another maritime animals. I definitely recommend this place.

Needed updating. Bedding/towels were not up to par. Curtains awful. Amenities were not great. We stayed at the Old Monterey Inn, Monterey prior and that was exceptional. The Squibb Houses, very disappointing.

Our stay at Squibb House was peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing.

We loved the charming rustic atmosphere of our room in the barn and the common room was so enjoyable to sit and relax in a quaint, country feel room. Breakfast was nice: eggs, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. A variety of fresh pastries would have been a nice addition. We sat at a long farm-style table and chatted with another couple staying there. Great restaruant choices just steps away and lots of fun boutique shops to peruse. I recommend staying here!

Lovely and relaxing

The breakfast was delicious and different every night. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. It was easy to walk to stores and restaurants. There is a beautiful hike only 4 miles away.

Due to the old house, it was very easy to hear people coming and going. Additionally, the toileting system was very loud. However, this is expected with the type of house, and it was still a great place to stay.

The room was lovely. The staff at breakfast was very nice. Last minute booking so the cost was a value.

Floor in the shower was slippery. Lights were nice to look at but the room was dim. There was no meet & greet. Just a note taped to the door. Very impersonal.

The location of the property and amenities nearby, just in walking distance were all we needed. The breakfast was great! It was a nice little beach community. Pretty sleepy town during the week and quite busy on the weekend frome touristwT

The only thing that ai didn't care for was tha outside noise from construction and work being done in town, But that was not something I, nor the Sqibb house had control.
