Comfortable stay in the heart of Cambria.

Nice room, very spacious and very clean.

The breakfast was good, definitely not great. The hot items were precooked. Bread was not fresh. Juice tasted like it came from a container. Coffee was so-so. Also we only discovered the dedicated off street parking after we checked out. Nothing was said about it in the arrival instructions.

Perfect place to stay

I loved the age of it. It is an old building, when I say “old”, it is not a bad thing. Just opposite, it shows a lot of memories. It is good may be for the people close to my era, especially tired of modern looking but “old” (I mean lot of tear an wear) small motels, which are also charging prices, totally doesn’t match with their quality. I saw one lady, as a staff, who was preparing beautiful breakfast, and she was also was best match for the character of this amazing place. The other thing is the location. After having few hundreds miles on my bike, I feel like I deserve a good dinner with a little bit of a drink to relax. And I do not ride, if I even smell the alcohol. So, this place was few steps away from very good restaurant. I will definitely come again.

We love the location and the house itself! We did not take advantage of the breakfast so cannot report on that. We will definitely return!

The house was cleaned with very strong smelling chemicals on Friday. When we returned, it was so strong we had to have all doors and windows open for over an hour to air it out

Spent our 36th anniversary at this B&B.

Location, close to everything in downtown Cambria. Breakfast included.

The room was very small with no TV. The chairs were very uncomfortable so they need a loveseat or something. The steps going up to the room were very steep and narrow, so that felt dangerous. Lots of noise all night with the cars. Felt like you were sleeping on the street. The shower was not that great. Very small bathroom. We didn’t see the value for the money. We paid $200. Neither of us got much sleep. Sheets were all scratchy. Our noses were all stuffed up and we’re not sure why maybe the chemicals they use for cleaning, I don’t know. It was more like a $69 room. We wouldn’t stay here again. We’re not sure how it got a nine star rating.

Great place, limited sound privacy at times.

The Breakfast, the environment and the ambiance were amazing! Our room in the loft was clean and beautiful. Main bed was very comfortable. ,

We stayed in the loft with a false 4th wall. As a result we had limited auditory privacy and could hear if anybody came into the common room below. Our third bed was squeaky. But still very nice for the value and fine if nobody is making any noise or needs verbal privacy.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay as the location was great.

It felt very nostalgic as it reminded me of my grandmother's home. Loved the items and pictures and letters about the history of the home.

After reading some of the comments about your breakfast, I expected much more of a breakfast than what we received. I am not a fan of store bought Costco egg dishes to serve. I did enjoy the granola with fresh fruit and greek Yougart. I was also a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Under the bed was dusty.

The bed was too high. I could not reach light over sink in the room. The stairs were very steep. The shower spout was also too high. The shower certainly had pink mold on the bottom.

We set up to stay one night for our 10 year Anniversary it was a Nightmare, plus they kept our money

First of all we asked for a beach front view, your company lied it's in the middle of town away from the beach, then they stole my money when I cancelled after I seen where it was located.

Charming Country bed and breakfast for those curious about Amish life

Conveniently located and good breakfast served in a nice big communal dining area that also serves as a shared living room for the guests to use the rest of the time. Our room was spotless and everything looked new.

I did not like the bathroom because the door was see thru and not soundproof which is just plain no good and if I had known would not have liked that at all. The shower in a shared space with toilet had a gross curtain that was constantly touching me and sticking to me while I was in the shower because it’s a small narrow shower and that fabric when wet will stay on you until you remove it. It just wasn’t great.

What a lovely place!

We stayed at Maple Room in the Black Barn. We loved everything about it! The hosts were very polite and extremely helpful in everything we needed. At our room, we spent some time out in the patio and by the fireplace, but our favorite was the breakfast table!! People of all ages, from different backgrounds and countries having a delicious breakfast all around a wooden table, chatting, sharing tips and experiences. It was such a delight! Oh I wish we could have stayed longer! When we are back in Cambria, we are definitely staying at The Squibb Houses!

Wonderful charming old house

We stayed 2 nights in this charming house.. the chimney makes it even cosier . We were in the Hickory room, surronded by nature. At that time of the year, flowers are everywere .Wonderful! . Breakfast has home make cakes and biscuits. We felt like home. Nice stop on the way to LA The ocean is wilder in Cambria than in Cayakos and if f you have binoculars ,you can try to see whales and another maritime animals. I definitely recommend this place.

Needed updating. Bedding/towels were not up to par. Curtains awful. Amenities were not great. We stayed at the Old Monterey Inn, Monterey prior and that was exceptional. The Squibb Houses, very disappointing.
