My wife and I truly enjoyed our two-night stay at the Sand Pebbles Inn in late October 2025. This quaint, well-maintained inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space, more than you'd find at most chain hotels, plus a small table and chairs. Everything—our room and the property—was spotlessly clean, and all systems (plumbing, heating) worked flawlessly. A huge plus was the simple but delightful breakfast delivered to our room every morning at our requested time. The receptionists we met were both courteous and incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit, along with clear directions. It was the perfect, relaxing break on our drive from Berkeley to Malibu!

My granddaughter and I stayed at your hotel from October 12th to 14th, and while we found the room to be clean and comfortable, I wanted to share some feedback regarding several interactions that could benefit from improvement. After a long drive, we used the hotel’s luggage cart to bring our bags to our room. Within ten minutes, we received a call requesting that we return the cart, even though no other guests were waiting to use it. The timing and tone of the call felt abrupt and unwelcoming after a tiring trip. Additionally, the coffee maker in our room did not work. When I approached the front desk to request a coffee cup, the staff member retrieved one from a nearby credenza. I mentioned that I would have gladly taken one myself had I known where they were located, but her response — “This area is employees only” — came across as unnecessarily curt. Lastly, after returning home, I realized I had left some items in the closet. When I called, the staff member confirmed that the items were found but stated, “We only keep items for three months,” in a tone that felt dismissive rather than reassuring. I let her know I would retrieve them well before that time frame, but again, the interaction lacked courtesy. Overall, while the accommodations were satisfactory, the staff’s demeanor and lack of warmth detracted from what could have been a pleasant and relaxing stay. I hope this feedback will be helpful in supporting continued service improvement. Thank you

It'd be nice to have AC in rooms. The room was extremely hot during the daytime. There was only one ceiling fan for the whole room to cool down, which was not sufficient.

Really nice place, right on the beach. Room was large with a little dining area and a fireplace. Bathroom was a little small, not much counter space. Nice that they bring breakfast to the room if you order the night prior by 7 but it’s all variations of eggs except for yogurt and granola. Beautiful location

My sister and I stayed one night at the Sand Pebbles Inn. The view was amazing!! So close to the Hearst Castle..less than 15 minutes. We were able to take in a tour the day of arrival and again the next morning. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a partial view of the ocean in room 207. Breakfast was brought to our room the day we checked out. Definitely one of the best places to stay on the Pacific Coast! We will be back again for future sister trips.

Just as described, nice hotel across the street from beautiful Moonstone beach. A tasty breakfast burrito delivered to our room included with our stay. Coffee maker and supplies in our room. The top sheet was missing with our bedding which was odd. Front desk clerk was friendly. Delicious Moonstone Beach bar and grill a few doors down served us a delicious ribeye steak.
