This hotel has always been a convenient and appreciated stop on our trips to the western part of the US.

This was our 5th stay at this hotel since it opened around 2016 and will likely be our last. The property is not being maintained well. The staff look like they just got out of bed or a piecing parlor. No greeting, no acknowledgement as an Honors Member. We were in an accessible room that had a faint musty smell. We discovered why after taking a shower - the water was leaking into the bedroom through the wall and the carpet got wet. The drain vent in the floor was also a source of odor. We covered it with a towel to help with the smell. We did report the problem the next morning. No apology, but at least a muttered thanks for telling. Honestly the lack of energy by the staff was ridiculous.

Hot breakfast was gross

The hot breakfast was a joke. The cheese omelettes served were of the frozen variety and were gross. They were cold and apparently had not been microwaved or cooked long enough. Hampton Inn, like many other motels, has started serving frozen eggs instead of eggs made from scratch. These chains are cheaping out on hot breakfasts. The room rates should be cheaper given the poor quality of the breakfasts that these chains offer.

Location was great. Get on and off freeway easily. Right next to Big Tex was great. Beds were so comfortable and needed after long drive. Shower was great. Easy check in and out.

I have a dog. The grass was about a foot deep and this made it hard for my dog to find a place to tinkle. The mosquitos were horrible around the building. My $50 dog fee should have been refunded due to no issues.

Location was good and was pretty quiet even though it’s near major freeway. Breakfast was disappointing.

By 7am scrambled eggs were gone and didn’t make anymore. Just had prefabed omelets. Food wasn’t hot, just Luke warm.

The Pool was closed. The hotel was full, front desk knew it and so did everyone else … and yet there were no extra chairs for the breakfast area. Lots of people standing and trying to get a bite to eat before hitting the road.

Breakfast was fine, ran out of milk and it was not refilled by 9 am so no more was offered.

carpet was very dirty in the halls and room; 2 people at the front desk was awful, the young lady didn't even get our of her chair; when I could not find a luggage cart, I asked how many they had and she said they should be in the outer entry - checked there, so she said they might be in one of the hallways on other floors, she did not even bother to look on her camera's to see if one was visible - I had to go to each floor myself to find one .... the guy was not much help either - not single hello, no welcome, no thank you, no have a nice stay, no enjoy your visit, nothing from either of them, no comment about me being a Hilton Honors customer terrible service - flat out lazy --- the only info provided was the time for breakfast .... pool was closed, the website said masked had to be worn and there was not a mask on anyone except for an elderly man with a walker in the lobby .... I won't stay again, ever.
