Cactus Cove Inn and Suites

The Cactus Cove Inn was such a unique place to stay. They have something for everyone!

Not a bad spot at all! Only thing is theres a club like right there, lol they were doin karoake-luckily it shut off at midnight. Other than that- cactus cove is pretty darn cool. Kids liked it! Feeding fish bounce house etc. Overall, fun!

I booked a deluxe double room through Agoda. We arrived late at night, as Amarillo is the halfway point on a long car trip we were taking. At first, the receptionist gave us a room on the second floor. When I entered the code, I found the inside lock already latched and people sleeping inside. When I went and told the receptionist, her fake surprise was insulting. It is obvious that they let staff sleep in rooms they think will be no-shows. There's problem number one. I was given a replacement room on the third floor that only had one king bed and a pull-out couch. When the couch was pulled out the door was completely inaccessible. There was no bedding for the pull-out in the room. There was mold in the shower. The bathroom counter and shower tiling wass obviously not finished correctly. Additionally, the shower was also unusable. The outdated shower head made the water pressure so high it hurt. We had to forego showers because of the painful water pressure. It's clear that replacement room we were given was not set up for guests. Cactus Cove hasn't done anything to rectify the situation either. We still paid a full $126 for the eleven hours we spent in this health and fire hazard of a room.

The pictures do not look like the actual location. It’s VERY sketchy, unsafe, dirty and I’d never stay there again. I wouldn’t recommended to anyone. I’ve tried to load the photos of how dirty, old and outdated everything is. It keeps saying it cannot load photos. It’s bad. We had other guest stop us in the hallway asking if we felt like their truck would be broken into because he was a military worker and it looked so dangerous. Our room was on the back of the building, the only one they had but she said they don’t allow access into the back of the building, those doors are locked with no way to get back in. So clearly they’ve had issues in the past. She told us to park in the spots closest to the highway to be safest. It is next door to what looks like a condemned motel or a pay by the hour motel.
