Quiet and comfortable

The continental breakfast was much better than the last time I stayed here due to it being warm. The room was quiet and very clean.

The brown recliner chairs in the room are horrible, you sink into them like there is a big hole in them. It would be nice if there were actually real chairs to set on while there.

Location back off the main drag was very quiet. Attractive decor and lovely surroundings. Close to the performing arts center. Beds were very comfortable.

Farmstead Inn provides a comfortable stay in the heart of all the dining and shopping of Shipshewana

Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet had a lot of wonderful items to choose from. The location was great and convenient to access all the nearby shopping and dining. We came for the arts and crafts fair which was just across the street so our location was perfect!

Biggest plus was 2 recliners in the room! As someone with back issues this was a very welcome surprise! It had lots of amenities - we particularly enjoyed the ping pong room. Very clean, lots of public space to gather.

The only thing I wish worked were the lights around the property along the sidewalks. They came on during the day but not at night. But this definitely didn’t take away from all the other wonderful things about this hotel!

Fantastic stay, would book here again!

Everything about our stay was great. We were there for a concert at the Blue Gate so it was nice to be so close. Our room was spacious and clean. We appreciated that we were able to upgrade our room after finding out their hot tub was not working; we also appreciated being told in advance that it wasn’t working. The building itself was clean, the staff were so friendly, and we enjoyed the many breakfast options. We were very impressed by everything and would definitely stay again.

The accommodations were very welcoming and very clean. The breakfast food selection was excellent.

On the second day of our stay, we went for breakfast at 9:00 am. Two dishes were emptied...the scrambled eggs and the fried potatoes. That was a bit disappointing, as those were my favorites which I enjoyed the morning before.

The Farmstead Inn was perfect for a getaway with my daughter!

The staff was super friendly and offered to help with anything we needed. The room was comfortable and clean. The common space was perfect for playing games with my daughter. The breakfast staff was wonderful! The breakfast delicious and plentiful!

We've stayed there for over 40 years. Clean rooms, we love this place. They used to have a great breakfast bar too. One of the reasons I stay there is for the free breakfast. They used to serve bacon, but for the last few years...no bacon, only sausage! The main reason we travel to Shipshewana is for the great food. We still visit Shipshewana several times every summer, but now I'm now looking for a new place to stay, with a better breakfast. After a few days there, it's the same old breakfast bar.
