This was the best hotel experience!

Excellent location, staff, and facilities. Breakfast was the best I've had in a long time! Tasted great, wide selection of food, and lots of room. Stayed here for a concert next door, couldn't be more convenient, was from the hotel room to our seats in 5 minutes. Would 100% stay again!

I would love to come back and stay here again.

It was actually the only hotel available after the Notre Dame and Texas A&M football game in South Bend, Indiana. My friend and I loved everything about it. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was great!

I wish I could have stayed longer to experience the surroundings.

Great food (omelets and gluten free waffles are amazing!) and love having the little eatery downstairs. The sitting area around the fire was lovely.

The arcade games were a little disappointing. Ski ball and air hockey were great! The arcade games kept eating quarters and the Ms Pac-Man game joystick didn’t work properly.

Great stay for the day

We stayed at the bluegate garden because we had a concert at the performing arts center in shipshewana. It was really nice walking from the hotel to the concert venue and back.

Great Location But Rooms Were Dated

Walking distance to Arts Performing Center for a concert was wonderful. Parking was easy. Lobby area and shops in Blue Gate Inn were great. Checking in and out was easy and quick. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean. Room temperature was perfect for an extra hot day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms need a major update. Reserved two rooms for our group. Although clean, the rooms smelled musty and old. Peeling dry wall tape on ceiling that looked like attempted repairs that didn't take, patched walls with bad paint job over dry wall repairs, heavy curtains to pull shut versus blinds (may add to the old smell?), weathered and discolored bathroom counter and sink, and older toilets very low to ground. Location to concert outweighed the benefits of the room for sure, but next time will look elsewhere for something more updated for that price.

Friendly staff. Next door to Blue Gate PAC. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Has a pool, game room, ice cream shop, relaxing courtyard with firepit, chairs and beautiful view of the countryside

It was very enjoyable.

The breakfast was very good. The only thing missing was the oatmeal. There were two sides for service & there was no oatmeal container put out, but there was all the fixings, brown sugar, raisins and the like. We were there for 30 minutes and the oatmeal was never replenished. But still above average!

The room was large, comfortable bed, and liked the decor.

HUGE hotel, and ONLY ONE elevator!! get another one. Lots of walking from one end to the other, many elderly people, hard for them to get around. Breakfast buffet was okay, nothing over the top. I'd suggest personally to this hotel doesn't have waiters take food from table until guests ( my husband and I) are done.

Perfect location.

Pizza shop in house was not open. Ice cream shop on property only open after 5 on Saturday, would have been nice to know since it was big in their advertising. Never got room cleaned entire trip. For the money it was not worth it.
