Overall the room was excellent beside the bathroom

The room was very pretty and comfy, I loved the look, didn’t smell like smoke as many nonsmoking rooms seem to smell like smoke this room was wonderful , they even provided several tea varieties and real mugs to drink from(and varieties of sugars too)

Only issue I had was the tub, I was sick and wanted to rest my achy body and much to my disappointment the tub wouldn’t hold water, it just drained the drain stopped switch seemed to be rusted out and the paint was peeling from the tub as well!

Clean, good mattress

Door did not seal well, allowing draft on cold night to enter. Because of this HVAC system was erratic, heating the room too high before if cooled too much. This made a comfortable sleep difficult. Shower fixtures were wobbly and need to be secured.

Went to an IU Basketball game last minute got the room had a great time

It is an older motel but is in great shape lots of upgrades good place to stay for not a lot of money.

Booked room thru booking.com paid online. At check-in the very nice young lady asked for a credit card saying it was just for incidental charges. Got up checked out later noticed my card had been charged 70 dollars. Sent an email with receipts asking why. Got an answer the next day that they were sorry refunded to my card next day.

Just what I needed for a comfortable overnight in Bloomington :)

They put a lot of work into the cleanliness of the place! I was wondering if my room would smell like smoke at all (I chose non-smoking) but it didn’t. The cleaning staff does such a great job. It’s conveniently located to all the places I needed to be at and breakfast was basic, but decent! If you drink there’s a bar connected to the building.

Room was tiny (had a king size bed), but since it was me it wasn’t an issue. I could see it getting a bit tight if there were more people.

Nice and quiet oasis

Cascades Inn is a quiet and lovely place to stay for a few days. They are just on the edge of the city, which makes it quiet, close to walking paths of Cascade pard. The have a bar on site, which is convenient for a night cap. Their garden patio was closed for the season (the fountain was turned off) but some shrubs and trees were still holding onto their gold leave, which made for a nice morning coffee ambiance. The rooms are good size, the water is strong, and they are very clean. We enjoyed our stay and we most of all appreciate Cayla at the front desk for a warm welcome, telling us all about Bloomington, suggesting bars and restaurants. Cascades Inn is casual but nice place to stay!

We are not big on breakfast, so bagels and cereal were fine, bur for some the options might be a bit limited.

The lobby has games and books for people to use/borrow. I could see this being a good place for a group to stay if needing to be in the area for a while-which might happen some with the near to university location. Bikeable areas nearby too. The front desk staff are very welcoming.

Landscaping could use some maintenance but you can see the potential/way it was in the past. Reminds me of all the yard work I can’t get to at home🙃

The staff at a level of customer service delivered was outstanding the facility earned its name as one of the best areas that you can spend the night in. More than happy to stay again

I appreciated the comfort of the room, the friendly staff and most of all, the reasonable price on a weekend when every other place in town was price-gouging for all they were worth!

Found a few more random hairs in the bathroom area than is probably ideal (but I'm a biologist -- takes more than that to scare me!). Also, we were directed to one room number, but given the key to another. Hope no one was in the first room while I was cursing and trying to use my key card....

Severe there for three nights for business. I booked this hotel because Bookong.com gave it an 8.1 rating.. way too high

It’s an “old school” hotel/motel in a good location. The courtyard was lovely, with tables and nice landscaping.

Two out the three front desk employees were grumpy. Housekeeping only comes every 3 days, ( they didn’t tell us that when we checked in) which means we had to hike to the front desk several times for towels, Kleenex, toilet paper and coffee packets. Our trash was overflowing as well. I asked if housekeeping could come every day, and the response was, “they get really mad when we ask them to do that”. There was also a carryout container of food in the fridge from a previous guest… not sure how long it had been in there.. gross! I honestly can not recommend this hotel. We will find another place to stay in the future.

2nd time staying at the Cascades . The coolest part is that it looks creepy from the outside but the rooms are spotless and the employees are sweet and kind!

The room was clean and comfortable and perfect for an overnight stay. There was a bar attached to the building which was fun and it was convenient having breakfast included. I thought it was very good value for money.

The location was difficult to walk to with the heavy traffic on the road and no bus.

We love the convenience, friendliness of staff, value, and native landscaping to brighten our day.

A great value with friendly staff and more than decent coffee in the morning. We enjoy walking among the native landscaping and playing some corn hole while at the hotel, although we rarely spend much time there when we stay. It is close to parks, downtown, and the IU campus. The room was clean enough and comfortable enough. Some chronic issues like mildew in the shower and a toilet seat that did not fit securely were the only downsides. Really enjoyed the new flooring that is much more clean than the old carpet.

Although hotel was older the room and what we saw of the rest of the facility it was clean. The bed was very clean and comfy. Location was great for ease of on and off expressway. Staff was not overly friendly but efficient.

There were no facial tissues available anywhere in room or bathroom. The coffee maker did not use the coffee filter pod made available. We made it work by standing there and holding the pod in place. Only one reg coffee pod and one cup available. Had to find cleaner to get a second one. She was very accommodating. These are just small problems overall but a little irritating.

Good for the price!!

Staff were friendly, the room was spacious enough and the garden was beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated a lot that it was served with ceramic tableware!

Some cushions for the seats in the garden would have been nice.
