My home away from home!

I could not ask for a better place to stay when I visit Newport. Location, location! Excellent. Food at the cafe wonderful, piping hot, selection was perfect and great coffee! Cozy and wonderful way to start my day. Perfect firm mattress! Very happy with the AC/ heat unit even. So much room to spread out-really appreciate the office desk for doing notes and even makeup. I met very nice travelers as well. My new hotel!

Enjoyable stay with friendly staff

Mr Christopher at reception is very helpful and patient when there was a mess-up with my booking even though it was near mid-night. He took the trouble to reverse the booking charges with the mess-up. All front desk staff are very friendly during my stay. Though hotel is located near the airport, the rooms are well insulated without sounds of aircrafts overhead. Room is very clean and spacious.

Limited choice of restaurants nearby the hotel. Though the hotel provides shuttle services to nearby places.

The property was easily accessible and located close to where I needed to be. For the money it was good.

Clean and had nice big jacuzzi bathtub in room. Security outside for parking $25 fee/ per day. Christmas holidays decorated and really cozy vibes.

For some reason they required a deposit using only credit/debt card and it needed to be in your name or a person who was with you. I had my spouse’s card which I charged for the stay but the staff had a strict policy & didn’t even allow me to use cash for a deposit during check -in.

A perfect place to stay while visiting family for Christmas, all of our needs were met from our arrival to check-out.

Very nice facility and decor, easy access, available parking, convenient location, great restaurant, friendly, professional staff, great costumer service from the front-desk, the restaurant staff to the housekeeping staff.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. No complaints.

It was clean

There are multiple buildings so if you have a lot of luggage you may have to carry from one building to the other after you check in. The hotel is located right next to a highway and the airport so it can be a bit noisy. The restaurant is not good. I got a salad and had to send it back and the couple next to me had to send their food back as well

I liked that it was tucked away by the freeway in an incognito location and very homely

they were doing construction so i’m sure it will look better once it has been completed. Just still not a great look. Also i walked down from my room to ask the front desk did they have an area to smoke a cigarette. Which i was then pointed to the front of the building by the door. Then I was told by the young lady with red hair that it was STRICTLY FOR CIGARETTES. Which i then asked her what else would I smoke? and gave her a look of like WHAT? like what do you think I would smoke besides a cigarette with my 5 year old daughter with me. Which made me feel like she insinuated that I would smoke drugs right where people pull up to check in on top of have my 5 year old child with me. This place might as well hang up a Whites only sign. Won’t be back here which i’m sure they’ll be happy anyway’s.

This hotel exceeded my expectations by far! It was beautiful, safe, memorable, and affordable.

It was absolutely beautiful!! The entire hotel tells a story of American History with its displays of some of the most beautiful ships that ever sailed. The quaint outdoor patio gives you the feeling that you just stepped in to Paris. If you’re there to eat a server will quickly provide you with a menu. The rooms were gorgeous and very spacious. It felt more like a condo than a hotel room. The decor went along with the dark wooden ship theme that you saw throughout the hotel. The pool and jacuzzi area was also beautiful and very clean.

The parking was paid parking but there wasn’t a valet and you weren’t guaranteed a spot near the hotel entrance. I feel that self parking should be free. If you want to provide valet service I’m fine paying for that too but paying to self park my car at a hotel that I’m paying to stay at was a little disappointing.

This hotel is always good to stay at. It is very clean, nicely decorated, good size rooms, and friendly staff. The location is great to visit our son who is at OCC right now. This is our "go-to" place to stay.

There is not a lot of parking so walking a bit farther sometimes to get into the hotel.

The shower was old and shower head wasn’t functioning well. The products, shampoo, soap etc.. were ok but not the best, but there was no shower cap, Q tips or cotton balls. No back up Kleenex since it ran out pretty quick.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and decorated nicely. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Paying for parking at a hotel you’re already paying to stay at is simply money gouging. The spaces are too tight as well, and it was very difficult to find parking for my truck once I arrived. There was nothing available to eat, prior to leaving in the morning about 5:45 am. It would be nice to be able to access some type of food at that time.

Expensive, Outdated & Smells of Mildew

Close to where my work training was

Not worth the steep cost! Room smelled moldy/musty and carpet, drapes and furniture were all super old and out dated. The room service food was horrible, I didn’t even eat it (and insanely overpriced), and paying $24 for overnight parking on top of being a guest at the hotel is just greedy in my opinion. I definitely won’t be back.

The location was perfect allowing us to explore Newport, Balboa, and Huntington Beach. We ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant and really enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The airport shuttle was a nice bonus.

If you're an early riser and want a good deal on a hotel in the area, this is a decent option.

The courtyard dining area is cute, even though I didn't get a chance to go for happy hour or breakfast. Hotel was close to a Starbucks. Room had enough coffee to tide me over until I got there.

Wish I had known that airplanes would be taking off every few minutes and would be VERY close to the hotel. I wanted to sleep in the night I stayed, and that did NOT happen with how loud it was.

Overall loved the decor and the amenities/restaurant.

The cafe area and food. I like that there were multiple areas of mirrors and sink. I like that most of the staff was friendly nice and down to earth.

I didn’t like that the pool closed so early. I think till 10:30 pm is a better option. And the broil went out so no heated pool and my guest couldn’t shower. It’s understandable that things go out but I wasn’t even offered a discount for this major inconvenience. Maybe better coffee drinks as well.

Hotel was clean, friendly staff and fresh baked cookies for guests every evening at 5:30pm. Cozy beds!
