Delightful and comfortable stay in La Costa!

I visit Carlsbad regularly and this stay was by far the most enjoyable! The bedding was so clean and comfortable and the towels changed daily. The in room dining was delicious and the view was so lush. The staff was so polite & helpful as well!

Because it’s a large and spread out property the main gym was pretty far - you have to drive if at night or in a hurry.

Calm and safe.

Felt safe, felt like home.

They couldn’t check me in until 5:00 which at a high end expensive hotel it’s frustrating. Also check out is 10:00, that is early.

beautiful property. flowers were gorgeous. Miguel one thing f the concierge team members was amazing.

bar/restaurant beside the pool. we sat there for a drink and bite to eat. it was quiet but no one came near us. we entered from the pool area. I went to one last one of the female waiting staff and she said I needed to go check in and when I did, it was her who checked me in and she said that sometimes people just sat there to relax so they didn’t tend to ask them if they wanted food or anything which I found really strange for a 5 star hotel. in general we felt like an inconvenience. she had long brown hair and glasses. I noticed later she was one of the waiting staff to leave and sign ask the table beside us to close out and open up a new tab with another waiter. as a European I find this really inappropriate because the staff should not be relying on tips, they should be paid a wage that does not mean that it falls on the customer to subsidize poor pay.

very poor services for food. we arrived to at 7pm and wanted to eat and although the restaurant was 10% full we were told that we couldn’t eat in the restaurant due to staff shortages. very poor service

Not worth it

The staff was very nice and rooms are spacious

The bed sunk in very bad to the point my husbands said he was going to sleep on the floor. They added a mattress topper which helped, not much. End of the trip husband said worst bed he ever slept in and he slept at some $50 motels before. We also ordered in room dining, pasta was horrible, over cooked. We barely ate it. sent feedback. Also if the room is near the pond, 5:30am this obnoxious bird chirps for about 30mins so if you have kids beware, told them about this too did not say anything about it. Not coming back. We will try Omni next time.
