Loved the grounds. Very pretty. Nice breakfast options, good pastries! Comfy pillows. Love that. Pool was freezing, but I did a cold plunge & that was awesome. Hot tub was REALLY hot. Could probably go down at least 1 degree, maybe two. Our legs were bright red for a while. lol. Very pretty tho. I took tons of pictures of the grounds to show friends I'd like to bring back. I will DEFINITELY be back. We were exactly 15 minutes from everywhere we needed to be. It was great!
I really wished the to go coffee cups were a bit larger. I usually only drink one large cup a day, but I had to come back three times for more between zoom meetings to refill and still could have had a bit more. Tasted great tho!
I'll bring my girlfriends back next time for some wine tasting and swimming. :)

Breakfast was excellent. Loved the grounds and areas of outdoor seating.
Access in and out of parking lot. Even though recommended right turn only due to traffic, a lot of people tried turning left which held up a line of cars out.

I was very pleased with the stay.
No microwave

Comfortable, clean and charming older hotel. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds very comfy.
The only complaint, and it’s a minor one, no elevator. We are seniors so a bit of a trek to our second story room

This hotel felt cozy and welcoming, it felt more like staying at someone's home than at a hotel. The location is only about a mile from the main downtown square which made it easily accessible. We were hungry from our travels and the desk host recommended several great options for dinner! Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The grounds were impeccable! The breakfast selections were ample and got us off to a great day. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.
The only thing that could have been better is if we had another day to stay! We didn't get to use the pool and hot tub during our one night stay, but next time we will make sure to.

Location, Sonoma is lovely.
No shower gel as they are changing suppliers and reception didn’t seem too bothered. Reception managed to find one sachet the following day.
Ground floor rooms aren’t very soundproof, you hear everything upstairs.

Rooms are not overly quiet.

Breakfast was quite good. (The quiche could be warmed up though.) The breakfast was indoor/outdoor and it was popular. The property (pool & jacuzzi with pretty gardens) & rooms were very clean, which is so important. Hair dryer, make-up mirror, full length mirror, good heat & water pressure in the shower, clean laminate flooring, great comforter with weight on the bed, great lighting with ceiling fan, coffee maker with biscotti, microwave & a safe - well done! Nice location a mile from Sonoma plaza.
The walls in our room were a bit thin. Could hear the footsteps above us

The hotel's swimming pool and spa pool are definitely highlights, very suitable for families with children, and the location is also very good!
There could be more children's playgrounds. Also, the water in the shower room can't go down, which is really speechless.

The room was clean.
The manager of the property was extremely rude. I called her with a question about what we were being charged and she was rude on the phone and even ruder in person. I have never encountered this before. She knew we were there for our anniversary and still treated us with incredible disdain. She also overcharged us for our room. There are many places to stay in Sonoma. This is not the place.

The front desk staff was excellent!
Beds were very comfortable!!

The beds were pretty comfortable. The garden in the motel's former courtyard was lovely, and the pool was decent. The property was clean. We paid way too much at nearly $450 on a Saturday night but rates under $200 during the week are more reasonable.
Booking.com described the breakfast as very good, but it was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Very little selection. Coffee in the room wasn't good. The hotel is next to a busy road, and there was a lot of street noise. Hot tub jets didn't work. Rooms are dark. It was also way too expensive for what was a glorified motel. I paid more than $425 for a Saturday night and felt ripped off.

El Pueblo upgraded one of the two rooms I had reserved at no extra charge. Believe this may have been due to the fact that it was my birthday and my husband had surprised me by having flowers delivered to the room before arrival. The upgraded room had a patio complete with a table and four chairs. This was nice because the other friends traveling with us were able to come to that room as well so we could all sit out on the patio together and have our champagne. The breakfast was nice as well and I liked that the lobby has coffee/tea available 24hr as sometimes I wake up very early in the morning and would like to have a hot beverage. The lobby is comfortable and gracious with magazines and brochures available about things to do in Sonoma and the surrounding area. They also provide a dispenser of ice-cold water and cups in the lobby plus a basket full of small candies which is very gracious when you check in.
Know it sounds a little picky but the only thing I can think of is would have preferred it if there was an herbal tea available in the lobby area and breakfast room for those insomniacs like me. Seems like I remember three different types of tea bags, green tea and English breakfast which both have caffeine, the third one maybe was an herbal tea but perhaps one I didn't care for like chamomile. Would have preferred an herbal mint tea or something else.

Very clean and beautiful grounds. Pool area is awesome! Great location, nice walk to the plaza. Complementary breakfast was good too, fresh fruit, baked goods, quiche, which is actually perfect for a quick breakfast, yogurt and a variety of cereals. This property is something of a hidden gem. We will absolutely stay here again!
Truly can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Location was perfect to visit Sonoma. Room was clean and very spacious, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly.
Only small note, even though the breakfast was enjoyable I would say there could be few more options particularly on the “salty” side. It is a very minor thing, I would still recommend this hotel.

The pool area and hot tub were a highlight! Loved the garden courtyard as well, very well landscaped.
Rooms are a little dated, but that’s part of the charm of it.

They had 2 EV Chargers on site which is a gem for that area! The breakfast was good and had in/out seating areas to congregate. The pool area was really nice!
