An Inn to Remember

The property was charming, the pastries were ridiculously good and the staff members I met were kind, personable and attentive. I worried about there being no on site concierge but any questions I had during the day were always answered thoroughly and promptly. I was in the smallest room, “Jasmine”, which came with a lovely, private outdoor space behind it and was perfectly fine for a solo traveler, though I imagine a couple might want one of the larger rooms. Lovely Luz, from housekeeping, let me take a peek at two of them that were being cleaned, the morning I left (Mimosa and Wisteria, I think) and they were both utterly charming. Looks like all rooms come with some kind of outdoor space. Location was amazing. Grocery, drug store, church, shops, the square — all just a short walk away.

The tight parking made me a little nervous — however — everything was such an easy walk from there that I happily left the car behind, safely parked off the street, and walked everywhere, unless I absolutely needed the wheels. If I had ONE suggestion, it would be to print up an info sheet to leave in the room regarding specifics such as operating the tv remote, the occasionally capricious coffee maker (make sure you fill the water up completely or it won’t brew) and the fact that there’s a “common area” right off the driveway, where you could grab extra supplies/drop recycling if so inclined. (There was a tiny, framed sign on the wall that included that last bit of info but I didn’t even notice it until the day before I left.)

Great location, super comfortable bed, lovely room, kind and helpful staff.

There was a pretty strong smell of mildew or mold near the bathroom.

i was blindsided by the way it was advertised on Booking.com as it was a regular hotel with 'excellent breakfast' . I was taken aback because it turned out to be a residence with tight parking spots, with very limited staffing. The whole experience was a bit surreal because i am used to hotels with front desks etc . this was not t I expected at all. The room was cramped , and so was the bathroom. While some people might like the fact that it had a traditional ' style' to it, it was definitely not for me. A cold ' pastry' outside the door was breakfast.
