Clean room and outdoor areas. Amazing location close to downtown. Bed and bedding was very nice and comfortable. Looks like it’s been renovated inside with very nice counters and bathroom.
The microwave was really old looking, but clean. Not much to complain of.

Quiet and safe, and the location was perfect for the locations we were going to
Everything was good

Did not see breakfast, room was spacious, I'm 72 with a lot of medical problems and back, hip problems, the king bed was an absolute dream to sleep on.
No ice machine, that I could find.

The location was really good. Very walkable to restaurants and shops
And the lady at the front desk was very sweet, found me an iron and an ironing board when I needed one.
I really debated writing a review of this place, but I figured since I read reviews before I book a place, it's only fair to leave one. This hotel seems to be going through some sort of a remodel. The rooms are divided in half by a wall, and the bed is closed off from the air conditioner/heater, so that you have to have the air set on Antarctica to have any ac at all where the bed is. The shower has absolutely no place to set anything
I mean shampoo, washcloth, all of it goes on the floor of the shower. And lastly, the parking lot needs a serious repaving. It rained and there was probably 6 or 8 inches of water next to the car door in front of our room.

Older property. Outdated

No breakfast offered.
The room I stayed in was average. The pictures look better. Did not show pride of ownership. Poor interior paint job. No mirror over the sink. Some towels were permanently soiled. I got the impression that the owner did not want to or could not spend money to make the property nicer.

Location was good ,loved the town . I did like they didn't have carpet. Luxury vinyl is very nice.
The towels were cheap and stained which made me feel uncomfortable about their cleaning. Our sheets looked clean , however ours friends said their were stained . The best thing about the room was the TV.
The tub you had to be very careful not to fall, very slippery. It's a very old place they have painted it . My friends baseboards were never paint and they were so dirty , terrible.
I guess that's what you get for inexpensive.

The location was close to everything! I liked that it was in a residential setting surrounded by old homes. The setting was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
The parking lot is very small. I had a trailer and could not park it in the lot. This is an older property and I think that is just a sign of when it was built. I was able to find a solution, but for those who may have that same situation, please keep that in mind. There is not any public parking for a good distance around this hotel.

location is great, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, bars, stores and nightlife. the room was very clean and comfortable. the beds were very comfortable with very nice bedding. plenty of parking and the Hotel grounds were well maintained and contained very nice/pretty plant material. The room AC was very quiet.
The bath tub was so slippery you had to be very careful to prevent falling and getting seriously hurt. several times my feet tried slip out from under me. eventually I had to place my feet against the vertical bath tub wall to brace myself. a no slip mat in each tub would help with this. The room had a strong disinfectant smell like the solution was mixed with a heavy concentration. Had to leave the door open for a while to calm it down some.

Rooms were newly remodeled and clean. Nice laminated floors instead of carpet.
Room I had was very close to railroad tracks. 2 trains passed when I checked in but that was it. Had first floor room near steps to second floor. Heard people going up and down.

Great location. Appears to be new owners with remodeled rooms. Pool looked great.
No coffee in the room, but it was available in the office. While the vinyl floor appeared clean, my feet got very dirty walking barefoot.

The staff was very accommodated. Room was very spacious but lacks a few utilities (a Microwave would be nice).
Shower was very weak and output very little water. No Microwave in the room and lacks of charging ports. The room could do away with the big screen TV and have more utility like hangers, microwave, charging ports.

We stay here when visiting family in Bardstown. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are big and have always been clean, comfy beds, clean pool. Love it!
No coffee in room. Doesn't allow pets.

we had to be switched three different rooms, the first one was 302 it stunk so bad of cigarette smoke.
the second room was 311, there was pee stuck on the toilet seat, there was a baby bed bug on the pillow case, the ac didn’t work even after being in the room for an hour, to top it off the bed sheets were completely filthy & we had to change our own bed linens out, when we seen the bug we asked to have a refund & the owner said he doesn’t do refunds even though it was in cash, he said we could leave or switch rooms, so we switched rooms instead of losing $150.
the third room was 309 it’s a room with two queen size beds instead of a king because we was running out of kind rooms that weren’t kept up. the third room had dirty pillows, stains all of the sheets & mattress itself, there was trash left in the garbage & we had to take a fan in the room with us to circulate air.

When you check in,
Instead of running your credit card through a credit card POS terminal, they manually type your credit card number, expiration date and even your 3 digit security code off the back of your card into their computer. I stay in hotels 300 nights a year and this is NOT common protocol. They now have all the information they need to make charges to your card whenever they want in the future. I have been the victim of credit card fraud and identify theft twice in the recent past and both were traced back to hotels I stayed at. Very sketchy!

We like the location & the friendliness of the staff. The rooms are nice & clean. The price is reasonable also. We have stayed there two years in a row while visiting Bardstown for The Stephen Foster Story.
We dont have any complaints. They were preparing for a breakfast bar which will be nice but there are nice local restaurants we like to have breakfast at so that's not that important to us.

Appears recently refurbished as others have stated. Friendly staff of arrival, perfectly reasonable room. Very convenient location within walking distance to town amenities.
Only improvement suggestion is to refresh the shower head (didn't get a chance to mention before leaving).

The AC had been shut off in my room and the entire time I was there it never totally cooled off. By checkout time it got down to about 74 degrees inside the room.

Room was clean, Obviously recently renovated. convenient location. Staff was friendly and helpful
WAter pressure could have been better. Towels were skimpy and thin. Breakfast was not offered on site, which I thought was advertised when I booked the room.

friendly Indian family living on premises, prices are very fair, A/C unit was cool enough to stay comfortable. bed comfortable (soft) and was quiet. pool was clean.
Bathroom is out of date and need upgrade. old tile, cracked, mold and shower head is mounted very low on wall. no tissues in room. front door can see daylight around it from inside, lack of insulation. Very small bath towels.

The owners/staff were very friendly
The room smelled like people had been smoking in it, and when we looked at the pictures to book the room they showed a remodeled room. We did not get one of those. I don't like to complain and I understand that the owners have been and are putting in quite the effort to make this place a decent place. My wife however, was unhappy with the smell of cigarettes.

The staff was very kind. It’s a family who own and run the place, and they do a great job of maintaining the grounds and have renovated the whole place. Landscaping was beautiful and the pool looked inviting. Everything was very clean. Liked that it had a refrigerator and microwave. It was also located right across from the KY Dinner train that we had tickets for.
I wish they had breakfast at the location and coffee in the rooms. I wish the bathroom was a little bigger. but it was adequate. I really liked the mattress, but my wife would have preferred a less firm one. Wish they had Kleenex tissue and bigger soap.
7.0 / 10.0
Great location, decent room for the price (under $100/night).
This is a newly reopened motel that is in the process of upgrades to the rooms and lobby areas. I think it has great potential.
The mattress was a 16-18 deep mattress and the fitted sheets had about a 12 inch pocket. So the sheet would not stay put.
Also would have been nice to have Kleenex available.
The light bulbs were the harsher blue light type. Warm light is preferred.

A short walk from the train station. We were allowed to check in early on the day of our train ride. The room was clean and comfortable.
Someone was working on the adjoining room at 4:00am causing me to think that someone was trying to break into my room from the connecting door. Wasn't a big deal once I figured out what was going on and I get up early anyway.

Close to downtown Bardstown, cute stores, restaurants and museums. The hotel is well run. Check in process was fast and easy. They even gave me a complimentary bottle of water with my name printed on it! The rooms have been upgraded and are very clean. We were there for a bike trip and the room was the perfect size for our bike as well as us. Will definitely stay there again!
Nothing to complain about everything was great!
