Some cleanliness issues (coffee cup lid on floor near inside door by desk, bathroom sliding door was very dingy/dusty on the inside of the bathroom). Otherwise fine. Bar was not fully stocked for cocktails on the menu.

The property is unique as to the style of the rooms and the nostalgic look back at 1950s motor courts. My only knock on the property is that we must have removed about a dozen stink bugs from the room.

Pros: Conveniently located. Kitschy vibe. Great little courtyard. Nice "lounge" area at the check/in with games, coffee maker, fireplace. Cons: The blind is only light-filtering, not room-darkening, which allowed so much light in from the outside "porch" (as well as the street light). It also had a broken piece that left a hole for even more light to enter. There were some kind of Dove Mens' Care product stickers affixed to the top of that window frame, which the cleaning person somehow failed to see and remove. We struggled with opening the main door from the inside. Perhaps that locking mechanism can be looked at (#4).

Amber, Cameron & the rest of staff were so kind & helpful. We had a minor hiccup & they took care of it. The heated salt pool & outdoor fire w/ s’mores was a great way to end a busy (bourbon) day. We’ll be back to the Bardstown Motor Lodge!

Rooms were spacious, beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, setting up the fire pits and keeping them fed with wood, supplying ice and other necessities. The entire property was very clean, but furniture and rugs had some stains. The pull down shades did not block the exterior light, had to get creative to darken the room. We loved the courtyard, did not use the pool but it looked very nice. Given this was a “motor lodge”, my expectations were not that high. I was pleasantly surprised. Last thing - the restaurant was not open for breakfast or lunch - dinner was excellent - we were there 4 nights.

Great location for visiting local distilleries. Downtown Bardstown was only a 10-15 minute walk so we didn’t have to worry about driving after visiting a couple bourbon bars in town.

It wasn’t bad although the other two couples in our group ended up not being able to stay with us. That was disappointing. The rooms were fine. We were right by the pool and they were loud and partying back there til very late. Only other complaint was no vending machines so no pop or evening snacks. Otherwise it was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable.

Check in was a little confusing, finding the front desk kiosk at back of property and then the key maker not working (sign mentioned this, find front desk attendant), but no worries. Room was nice and up to date. Linens, bed comfort, and soaps were excellent, with cleanliness very good. Courtyard was nice on evenings with the bar open. I don’t always enjoy campfire smoke and all the pits were lit but found places to avoid it. Cocktails were ok but pricey. Staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Room is real comfy, beds are great. They have a saltwater pool at 93 degrees! The staff was so friendly, makes you feel real welcome. The hotel is real close to the downtown area and right across the street is the My Old Kentucky Home State Park!

I would 100% stay here again. We loved the heated pool and fire pits with free smores kits. The room was comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. I highly recommend eating at Toogie's Table. The food was great and they offered deals for hotel guests.

We had a really good visit here and really liked the rooms and courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked. The fold out bed was dirty and we had to get fresh bedding for it. The bar wasn't open and the neighboring restaurant wouldn't let us take drinks to the hotel. If we return to this area we would come back here without hesitation.

We loved our stay at the Bardstown Motor Lodge! Our room was clean, updated, and had such a large, cozy bed. The lodge was also so convenient to all the restaurants and shops in town. We went to Bernheim Forest, Lincoln’s Birth Place National Park, and Mammoth Cave which were all just a short drive away. We also enjoyed the fire pits toasting marshmallows each night. Such a great place- we’ll definitely be back!

This location is great in good weather but not good if it's raining. The walk-up to our room was on exterior stairs that had very slick steps and lots of rain coming in. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff person was sitting on a couch instead of being behind the counter. He had stuff everywhere when I checked in... it was like he was doing homework or something. a girl was hanging out who didn't appear to work there... maybe a girlfriend. The gentleman who checked me in sat on the couch and was unprofessional. I was very disappointed in the interaction with check-in.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The check-in was easy. The bed was very comfortable. The shade on the window let a lot of light in from the porch light, which made it light in the room for sleep. Maybe add a curtain?

All the pictures for the property show only 1 story, so i never thought I'd need to request ground floor, as hubby is a disabled vet. We were given a 2nd story room w no elevator, so that was frustrating. There is no daily housekeeping and the exterior door to our 2nd story room wasn't fully sealed, so daylight was visible around the entire door. We were told at check in that the type of room we had (king size bed, studio room) for our stay (thursday to sunday) this was the only one available, so it was pointless to mention the door issue to the front desk. The room satisfied the need of a bed & a shower, but we don't plan to stay there again.
