What a unique place to stay right in the heart of Bardstown! Old time Inn feel. Very clean and comfortable. We staying in the Lincoln Suite. Very roomy and a nice place to hang with friends. Includes a delicious, made to order breakfast. Looking forward to our next stay!

Just an overnighter but we lucked into the Jesse James room! Comes with its own museum about James’s time in Bardstown. Our room was nicely updated and we’re pretty sure (at least my wife was) Jesse’s ghost was rattling our door after midnight! Nice restaurant and bar all inside the inn, which was a good thing on a rainy day.

Friendly helpful staff, spotless room, comfortable bed. We stayed in the Lincoln room near the balcony and it was so cool. Close to the road so there is street noise but we were able to sleep well. Excellent singer in the bar the restaurant had a varied menu with some local specialties. Recommend the fried green tomatoes and shepherds pie! Loved staying in such a historic building.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was very much appreciated. The check in was not ideal since I had to check in late due to my flight being diverted. I was barely able to get a hold of anyone trying 3 different extensions, and then I walked around the buildings for 5-10 minutes trying to find the lock box, and then which door I should use the key for to get in the building. There also wasn't anyone at check out initially to give the keys to upon leaving. When I did talk to anyone, they were usually pleasant, however. It's a cool location, with a lot of history, and walking distance to many other restaurants and pubs.

this is going to sound weird, but our room was number 4, and their was a cat meow coming form some where every 15 minutes or so coming from the wall. we named it ghost cat. Great breakfast. Great bar next door with many bourbons.

We had a first floor room 103, which had a massive picture when overlooking the sidewalk. So unless you closed the drapes, everyone walking by can almost join you, except for the glass between. Rooms were clean, nice, remodeled. Bathroom has a shower but being your own supplies as soap,,

We enjoyed our stay at Talbott Inn. The breakfast was amazing! The main complaint is that there was only one chair in the room, and that chair was not comfortable. We do not enjoy using the bed as a sitting place, and as there were two of us, only one had a chair. Staff was friendly and helpful, loved the old building.

So pleasantly surprised by the Inn. Super easy check-in, very friendly front desk clerk, really cute, nicely decorated room, spacious bathroom, windows that opened to let in fresh air. Mattress was a little softer than I'm used to, but still super comfortable. The pillows are only polyester (I'm a real princess about pillows), and we were next to a stairwell, so could hear people coming in and out all night, but not loudly enough to disrupt our sleep. Amazing location walking distance from all the restaurants and bars downtown, and to Bourbon Fest. We talked all weekend about how lucky we were to be able to get a room here!

It’s a very unique place with charm but there were food crumbs all over the floor in my room near the couch. I requested a box of tissues from the staff as the one in my room was empty and was told no. I came down to the breakfast room in the morning and seated myself as the sign advised; however, I sat for 40 minutes and was never greeted or served by the overwhelmed waitstaff. I made eye contact with the server and smiled but was ignored, maybe because I didn’t fit in the with the rest of the hotel guests which are overwhelmingly elderly.

This place is just cool. Like it’s just great in every aspect. Bed, room, lobby, restaurant, bar, area - it’s perfect. Oh, and if you get room 4, you’ll know where all the talk about the place being haunted comes from…seriously.

Staying at The Old Talbott Tavern is a special treat. The building is very historic, especially the dining room in the 1799 part of the building with the ancient timbers and two gorgeous stone fire places. We split an order of the beef stew. The rooms are very nice, big, and quite comfortable. We stayed in a room in the newer section (only about 100 years old) with windows looking out on the main street and town square. In addition to the nice restaurant, they have the obligatory gift shop and a great old bar with live music and, you guessed it, lots of whiskey.

I love the Talbott Inn, especially the rooms in the Old Talbott Tavern building. It is an historic property with all the charm of a building that dates back centuries. The rooms are a bit dated but, in my opinion, it just adds to the charm. The breakfast that comes with the room is not your run of the mill continental spread that many hotels provide these days, but a cooked to order traditional breakfast. Delicious!! Will be back.

Charming property with a great staff! The town is awesome to stroll the streets and visit the shops. A unique Farmers Market on Saturday mornings! Do not expect an early check in so be prepared. Breakfast is wonderful! We will return.
