The history and comfort make the Talbot Tavern and Inn a great place to stay!

We loved the historic value of the property and the location was great! Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful about tourist sites. The Old Tavern restaurant was yummy and the breakfast that came free with the room was outstanding !

Parking was a little rough but manageable.

Perfect location and best complimentary breakfast

Very good complimentary breakfast cooked fresh to order. Straightforward menu but all the basics were there. My room was beautiful, classically furnished and had plenty of good extras (tea tray, coffee pods, etc.)

The only complaint is that my shower was uncontrollable in terms of temperature. That might need professional attention. This was in the Anton Heinrich room.

Great location, needs improvements

Great location to the area. Breakfast was good and enjoyable as well.

Parking is not efficient or enough for that area. Should you arrive late, it is almost impossible to get a nearby parking spot. Also, the water pressure in our room was ve3ry very low. We asked for that to get fixed, but truly, we believe it is always low pressure. The toilet does not even flush within 2-5 minutes of 1st flush.

A two getaway of fun and relaxation. Exploring and history galore!

Everything! It was in the heart of town and everything was perfect.

The room we had was beautiful but the head board was against the wall to the stairs of the room above us so we heard so much noise from the patrons above us coming and going.

Location to historic downtown was perfect and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast at the Tavern was delicious and a good start to our day.

Parking could be an issue but we had no trouble finding it right near the inn.

Nice stay in an historic inn. Chaotic staff

Historic building with modern facilities. Ice machine in the hallway. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a fridge in the room. Live music in the tavern.

The only big problem is an overly complicated check in procedure and a staff that was confused and incompetent. We had to tell them that we still hadn’t paid after the clerk checked us out. Too bad because the rest was very pleasurable.

The Talbot Tavern and Inn is the perfect setting to enjoy all Bardstown has to offer!

The Inn itself is essentially a museum in its own right. So much history right on the premises. And its location in historic Bardstown is idyllic…the town is so charming and has so much to offer. Wonderful restaurants, shops, bars all in walking distance. The upper porch was so relaxing and dinner and breakfast were delicious! This place is a total gem!

Price Paid Not Seen in Surroundings of Room

Upon booking the room from the booking.com site we were given the images of a lovely period furnished room in the style of the 1700-1800. For the price paid, we expected more than a simple, small, dull looking room with a lovely bathroom attached. Most disappointed.

Wonderful Historic Stay in KY

Fantastic location right in the heart of Bardstown close to many eating and drinking establishments. Highly recommend staying in one of historic rooms, the Anton Heinrichs was great with wonderful amenities. Restaurant has preferred seating for guests of the Inn and their menu has a little bit of something for all tastes. Step over into the Bourbon Bar afterwards and you will have a huge selection to choose from. The Inn is located very close to many of the distilleries in the area (Maker's Mark, Heaven Hill, and Willet just to name a few). Highly recommend it for adults, not much of a place for kids

Amazing - don't miss it - and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy.

What an awesome place! Probably the most fun weve had at a hotel in years. The history in the actual hotel and tavern was really interesting. We toured one distillery and if we had known how many others there were to see we would have stayed additional days. The food in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and the bar in the tavern was awesome. The bed was comfortable and the room we got had great history and charm. Everyone that worked there was extremely nice and friendly. Would definitely go back!!

The inn and room are charming and so many neat historical things to look at.

Our room was right over the tavern and was extremely loud. Though we were made aware of it, we were surprised how loud it was. Thankfully the tavern closed at 10.
