Great location, near downtown and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Staff are friendly. The hotel itself may be older but that is the charm and they do keep up the area and rooms.
It’s not great having to pay an additional fee for parking. During this stay we did run out of hot water.

Great breakfast in hotel’s restaurant
Historic property with lots of atmosphere.

Not accessible. No ramps or staff to help bring bags up the steps. The dining option closed early at 9pm. No room service options. The front desk didn't mention anything about amenities or where to find them. The parking is offsite and too expensive for the lack of convenience.

Great location. Very nice, comfortable rooms in a classic old club. We used to stay here years ago as members of an affiliated club but now it is open to the public.
It's a wonderful property, with parking a block away. Guests have access to the Sport facilities, which are fantastic.
Since its a older building, the bathroom is smaller, but it was still fine, and the shower was good.

I love the gym. The Zumba class Friday morning was fire.
It would be nice if the window to my room could open.

Affordable option with friendly staff in a historic building and club. Felt safe/secure at this hotel despite the entire downtown area's unfortunate homelessness and drug use issues. Kids appreciated the club's charm. Did not have the opportunity to use the club facilities during our stay, but it was a nice option.
Overnight parking garage was acceptable, but was charged more than indicated in hotel's welcome email.

I absolutely loved the Spokane Club athletic facility. Working out was a priority for me, so I booked a swim lane everyday, went to a yoga class and lifted weights. The gym is so nice with a sauna, steam room and nice showers and a ton of classes. Parking is a little tricky and the hotel is nice, but for me the athletic club was why I booked this hotel and it exceeded expectations.

I love historic properties and The Spokane Club is close to my heart. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. I am so happy that they have kept a classic style in the decor. The staff welcoming. The use of the athletic club a huge plus!

The location was great for biking from the hotel and easy walks to various restaurants and pubs.

Restaurant wasn't opened!
My visits are during the week. The restuarant opens to late and closes to early!?. The in house telephone system is old and out dated.have a hard time talking with the front desk and early morning wake-up calls.

The bed was comfortable, amazing Loccitaine bath products, robes (didn't use), fridge, easy street parking, nice location near shopping and river, neat historical building, staff tried to help with room temp problems.
AC barely worked in our room. The front desk offered a fan. The code to get into the front door did not work. We were there on Bloomsday and it would have been nice if the staff had warned guests that our cars would be trapped downtown. I barely made it to my daughter's soccer game on time. I was not aware that parking on the street behind the hotel would be trapped due to race road closures. Microwave in the room would have been a bonus.

We thought the Spokane Club was charming. Very old school and in need of renovation but the location and rate were great and staff was lovely. Cleaning in particular. I'm a bit of a hotel snob but it was better than expected -- enjoyed having facilities on site (including sauna and steam room) and all the old photographs of how the Spokane Club was truly one of the first properties in the area -- 1890! If they had more rooms with two beds I would encourage our kids' volleyball club (the reason we were in Spokane) to have all the teams stay there for this tournament -- particularly since they have a full size gym/basketball court! They happily provided a roll-away, however (which was set up when we arrived, which I appreciate), since I was sharing the room with the friend. Now my "go to" place to stay in Spokane.
The parking wasn't on-site but I knew that -- it was closer than I had expected based on other reviews (only like a block and a half) and secure. We walked there at 11 pm and didn't feel like it was "seedy".

Location and vibe. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Angela at the front desk is a delight and she enjoyed hearing of our plans and offering her own favorites which we took her up on!
I wish they offered breakfast that was either included or not so expensive

Love the charm of this beautiful old building. Rooms are small but have updated amenities and are comfortable. Great view of the falls and city from our 3rd floor room.
The parking facility was nice but a long hike from the Spokane Club. It also felt sketchy walking there due to the number of vagrants that seemed to hang out nearby. Would love to see a closer parking facility or a valet service to go park the car.

Easy access to downtown. Low rates. Comfortable beds. Did not stay long enough to access the many exercise or swim facilities.

The hotel photos make it look more Grand then what it is. We had furniture that had tears in the materials the fan for the heat/ac barely blows even on high. Forget having a bathtub read all the small print not just room description. Pool hours for families is almost impossible to use be sure to ALSO reserve pool time. And parking is about a block away in a very sketchy garage. Overall not “family” friendly but would suffice for a business trip. It was clean and quiet but outdated

The staff were absolutely lovely. Having access to the Club facilities was an extra-special treat. We used the pool and the conditioning room and everything was clean and extremely well-appointed. We loved the location near the river and we could walk all over downtown and up to Kendall Yards from there. There are so many great restaurants nearby and the mall is right there next door(ish) if that's your thing.
The room was disappointing. While it was clean, it was very dated. Not in a vintage building kind of way, but in a remodeled in the early 90s kind of way. Beat up furniture, a bathroom that was reminiscent of staying at grandma's house, cheap veneer shelving and odd raw plywood pieces nailed under the beds and in the corner. It was just kind of old and sloppy. The bed was lumpy and too soft, and the room was on the small side. It kind of felt like staying in a dorm. The lobby was beautiful and kind of vintage, but was similarly dinged up and shabby. While the Club was great, I'm not sure it's worth the money for the hotel experience.

The location was great for my meetings.
No ramps at the front. Had to haul luggage up the stairs. If you use a wheelchair, I don’t see how you’d get in.
The room and towels were dirty. The air conditioning didn’t work, and while the window opened, there was no screen, and the sill was full of bugs.
The TV had two remotes, but neither worked properly. No bathroom fan. They charge $14 per day to park two blocks away, which they don’t mention upfront.

It was peaceful and staff was friendly .
The parking is a block away and the first night the security gates were secured. Winter would be a hard time for travelers to walk to the hotel.

Location was outstanding. The rooms are charming, if a bit cramped. The entire property has historic charm. And the access to a first-class gym and athletic facilities is a real plus. Staff was very friendly.
Having to enter a code to get into the building at night. Also, the parking offsite was a little inconvenient.

Classic old hotel. Mostly nice staff. Beautiful.
The pool is only Laps and you have to reserve a lap lane for 1 hour. Family swim is only two hours a day in the middle of the day.

The Spokane club has a nice old-fashioned feeling to it. The people are super nice and the restaurant is right on the premises which is very convenient. Parking is a short walk away and inside a garage which is great as downtown Spokane can be a little sketchy at night.

It has old school charm, it is very quiet, the bedding was very comfortable, nice toiletries, above other hotels when it comes to athletic facilities, friendly staff.
The check in and check out hours could be revisited. We tried to check in early and even if there had been a room, a fee would have been assessed. I reserved the pool as per their policy and there were still people there when I got there so I just gave up the reservation - why make guests reserve if you are not going to enforce it? Restaurant was great but not open all the time.
