Great property and location.

Nice hotel for a short conference weekend stay.

Bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful. Large rooms too. Olie (spelling) in the Safari Bar was beyond amazing, she made the stay in the hotel a really pleasant one.

There were cleaning carts everywhere. The elevator would open and there would be a cart blocking the door. Not just on our floor- but throughout the floors. We were on 19 and had to walk around them several times. I am hoping it was just a bad timing on my schedule- but it seemed odd.

Check in is 4PM. $25 to check in early (at 2). Front desk staff could use a little hospitality training.

Absolutely poor service

Hotel is well decorated, easy to navigate

Our stay was unbelievably negative, especially for a 4+ star hotel. It began when we needed to amend our stay dates. Booking.com tried extensively to reach to the hotel front desk to get them to accept the new date, but no one would answer the phone at the front desk. I tried myself for over 40 minutes to call, but I kept getting hung up on by the front desk staff. I eventually had management step in from one of their other hotels across the street, and got our stay changed. When we arrived, we were told our room price was over $100 more than our booking with Booking.com, and that it was "not open for negotiation". The front desk staff made sure to smile and be polite while they told us to screw ourselves. When I asked if the phones were working at the front desk, the staff member cocked her head and said "Uh, yes, why?". I didn't waste any more time with it. When we got to the room, it was ok. The main lighting was uncomfortably bright, we had to leave them off just to sit in bed. The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, all of which were mostly empty, but we got 2 showers each out of them. We needed to have a delivery to the hotel by Doordash for some medical supplies we forgot to pack, and food, and when we called the front desk, one staff member said "Oh yes, we'll bring it up to you when it arrives". 15 minutes later, Doordash calls and says not only will the front desk not accept the delivery, they won't let him continue into the building. Good thing we were taking showers! Otherwise, we might be not be COMPLETELY INCONVENIENCED! My wife had to run down to the lobby in wet clothes to get the delivery before he left with our medicine. When we complained, we got the "We're very busy and understaffed" line. The next morning, when we went to check out, the front staff said "Room keys? We'll email you your final bill. Thanks, bye!

Ambience of the foyer

I booked a room with a view on the 4th of July, (over $250 for one night) drove 5 hrs to spend the holiday with family....but since we brought our dog, we were told that we couldn't have a room on any floor but the 5th. Our entire view was covered by a huge office building. Didn't see one firework. Tried to walk down the road to see some, but the amount of homeless people were overwhelming and intimidating, so we just went back to the room and watched the fireworks on the TV. Very disappointing. (PICTURE ATTACHED WAS OF OUR VIEW).

Will still choose Davenport Hotels for our next visit to Spokane however it won’t be this one.

This is the 3rd Davenport hotel we’ve stayed in and we have enjoyed enjoyed our stays and accommodations especially at the Grand and the Heritage moreover than our most recent at the Towers.

We were disappointed that our room didn’t have a simple refrigerator as part of the accommodation, it seems that that item is pretty standard these days. We could never seem to get the room cooled down enough that sleeping was uncomfortably warm both nights and seemed stuffy. The electrical receptacles for plugging in our CPAC machines and Phone Chargers have seen better days as they hardly hold the male plug cord ends when they are plugged in and had to put a support under my Phone Charger just to keep it plugged in.

It was within walking distance of so many things and it was very clean

The hidden fees and lack of amenities. We had to pay for parking, were charged for potential incidentals (later reimbursed) and in advance for food per diem. There was no refrigerator in our room?! The toiletries had an unpleasant odor. And the room was ridiculously small.

The location. The wait staff in the lounge were exceptional. They made escaping our room bearable.

Our room had a large window directly onto the parking garage with cars parked inches from it. We couldn’t even open the curtains. The room would have been greatly improved by removing the window all together. Zero privacy, noisy, and a hideous view into the parking garage…absolutely no one wants to stay in this room regardless of price. How embarrassing for the Davenport.

If you park there, (covered but not secure) it is $30/day. Plus $20 a day "amenities" fee, so it's $50 more per day! The amenities fee can be used for food and beverage but complicated to use. It was "explained" 3 different ways by 3 different staff.

Hidden fees not clearly explained or noted

When checking out the kid at the front desk was very helpful and someone finally clearly explained why we were paying an extra $160.

The confusion about the pet deposit and charges. When I called and spoke to the front desk I was told there was a $50 refundable pet deposit. Once there, we were charged $100 with only $50 being refundable for the pet fee. So there was a $50 charge I was not told about. Plus there was a $20 amenities fee and $25 self parking charge. So all the hidden charges added up to over $160 with tax once we got to the hotel.

Meh!

The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet.

We arrived at 3 p.m. but our room was not available until after 6 p.m. We sat in the lobby with our luggage for 3 hours. We have been staying at The Davenport Tower for the Bloomsday Road Race for over ten years, but our experience this year was not good due to not being able to check in until 6 p.m.
