Beautiful hotel

Truly a wonderful hotel and a great overall stay. All the staff were kind, polite, and attentive throughout our visit. The pool was clean and pleasantly warm, creating a relaxing atmosphere that almost felt like being in ancient Rome. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

The population is good, but to achieve perfection they should add some filled sweet croissants.

Good value for the money!

Morro Bay is a lovely town and has a harbor w/a Sea Otter nursery! The hotel was easily walkable to the waterfront,restaurants and shops/galleries. The hot filled croissants and oatmeal for b'fast were really good. First couple days there was thundering feet kid noises above us from the upstairs unit,annoying, but that's how kids play. FYI- as we left they were workfolks starting some remodeling.

The only 2 wishes would be for less wimpy shower flow and Netflix/streaming services on the TV. There was(apparently) Fire stick ability,we don't have that membership.

Lovely clean modern hotel with egg croissant & oatmeal breakfast

Beds were comfortable. Room and bathroom were large. Parking was plenty and clean.

For the price of room rate with breakfast, I expected more food options. No toast. Just soggy protein croissants (which were still good with protein to start day). I appreciate breakfast was fast and available. I would have like scrambled eggs and pastry/bread options.

For the price I wouldn't go back

The room was adequate, mattresses were to firm for me. The morning breakfast sandwiches were good and the coffee.

I was disappointed in the spa, first it was in a basement, the water looked like their was algae in it! When you put on the jets it made nothing but soap sud, I thought I was taking a bubble bath!

Masterpiece Morro Bay

Customer service was perfect. I used to stay there years ago they've redone it and it looks so chic and modern. I really loved the breakfast buffet. The ham and cheese croissants were exceptional.

The only thing I can complain about is the water pressure was terrible in the room and it got cold within 2 minutes of turning on the shower. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Home away from home, we will be back!

Love the location and the size of the rooms! It felt like we were at home away from home. Also we did leave a personal item behind, it was located and email to is promptly. We’ll definitely stay here again!

The only drawback was the breakfast included was served both days and the croissant was very greasy and the oatmeal had no flavor or toppings for flavor.

The fireplace in the room. The location. Liked the couch. Liked having 2 chairs.

When I booked it, I was told there would be wine and small snacks, so we planned our day around that activity, but there was no “ wine hour”. I couldn’t eat the breakfast( breakfast croissant), so I drank some juice and ate an apple. Difficult to regulate the temp in the room. Woke up in the middle of te night, feeling quite warm, even with the fan going.

Disappointed

Location to downtown.

Breakfast was almost nonexistent. Oatmeal, oranges, and apples. 3 other dishes were out with no attempt to refill. Oatmeal would have been fine but the toppings were either sugar/cinnamon, brown sugar, or white chocolate chips. Parking situation makes it difficult to open side doors to unload or load. It's hard to feel like a room is clean when basic maintenance has not been done in a very long time.

Overpriced and not the standard that was advertised,

The location was good.

The service, amenities and breakfast. When we arrived at approximately 6.00pm we found that there was no TV remote. We spoke to the woman at reception who said we should check under the bed. We checked the whole room and again spoke to reception. We were told that she would let housekeeping know the next morning. We tried to manually operate the TV but it would not work. We tried again to ask for assistance but reception was closed. There was an after hours number on the room phone, however, the phone did not work. When we checked out the next morning, we again reported that the TV didn’t work and were again told it would be reported to housekeeping. There was also no hot water when we showered on the evening we arrived. We were also kept awake by the loud sound of the plumbing from adjoining rooms. We were also very disappointed with the breakfast which only consisted of grey watery oats/porridge and pre-cooked half serves of bacon and cheese croissants. Our stay at the Masterpiece Hotel was very disappointing, especially as this is our first trip to the USA.

A small good hotel for stopover on a California 1 road , cheap price for a large , clean and high quality room with small balcony. Continental breakfast in the lobby , convenient free parking.

Too high of price for value and hotel

Breakfast was limited options. Room was clean.

The lack of parking and the price paid vs hotel. Hotel is dated for the price paid i would expect better accommodation and more staffing. Also the lack of parking is very disappointing. We arrived on the second night back at the hotel around 830 pm and there was no parking available. Staff told us to find street parking.

The location of property was excellent, on the Main Street of Morro Bay—easy access by car to the beachfront area and restaurants.

Given that this is like a residential building adjusted to a hotel it doesn’t have any wall insulation for sound. You can hear guests thumping up and down stairs all day, and during day and night you can hear the upstairs guests in their room which provides you with little sleep or rest. Noise factor was unbelievable.

Good sized room. Clean. Beautiful soaking tub.

The pillows were awful. Hard and overstuffed. My girlfriend and I both woke up with stiff necks. No water pressure in the sinks. No hot water in the showers.

A good place to stay for a visit to Morro Bay.

The hotel was fine and we had a large room with two beds, a dining table, microwave and fridge. Each day we had the buffet breakfast provided by the hotel which had a small range of items but included oatmeal and make your own waffles. Parking was good an the hotel is in a reasonable location, a short distance from the beach and shops.

We used the small spa but there were no changing facilities and the towel provided was no bigger than a hand towel. Some of our furniture in the room was poor quality and broken and the fridge was wet inside, dripping from the freezer compartment. One member of staff seemed very unhappy and overworked while the other was friendly and cheerful.
