    This hotel is brand new, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed in a modern European style, with décor that pays tribute to the history of this unique place. Traveling through California with my husband, I had grown tired of the many generic hotels that often felt outdated and had a musty atmosphere. I absolutely fell in love with this place. Transforming a World War II hangar into a stylish, comfortable European-style hotel was such an original and inspiring idea. I especially enjoyed the small book about the role of the Morro Bay military base during World War II and the lighting fixtures designed in the same historical theme. If you're traveling as a couple and looking for something different—or simply appreciate cleanliness and comfort—this is the perfect place to stay. It's also just a 10-minute walk from the waterfront, with its restaurants, sea lions, and beautiful beach.
