The location was perfect. It was right in the heart of uptown Sedona with incredible views of the mountains.
You have to book weeks in advance for a spa appointment.

The resort is lovely with beautiful views. The pools and fire pits are very nice. The staff is professional, courteous, helpful and well trained in hospitality. The location is very walkable to shops and restaurants.

Hard to find a time when the jacuzzi wasn’t full (first world problems!!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Amara Resort/Hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly, helpful, polite, pleasant, and we felt very welcomed. The resort was clean, quiet, food was excellent. We would stay there again on any future visit. I like how welcoming they are to dogs, we may bring ours next time. And the valet parking is a major plus, no attitude, just friendly, and helpful.
Really nothing, the toilet seat in our bathroom was a bit loose, but tightened after a prompt response from maintenance. It’s a little pricey, but has many amenities that we didn’t use during our visit. We could have just lived at the hotel, yet Sedona has 100’s, 1000’s?, of things to do outside the hotel area.

The property is just fine. Nothing spectacular considering the rate per night.
Valet parking is a hassle especially if you are rushing out. Another issue we had was leaving early and there was a misunderstanding on the ticket we had to present. The front desk guy was upset that we did not have it with us and sounded like we were being scolded for not having the ticket. Not a good way to treat your guests.
The complimentary coffee does not get refilled. It always ran out. There is only 1 pitcher for milk, no choices like soy, half/half and oatmilk. I had to go with an empty pitcher to the restaurant to ask for milk. There is only server took the pitcher and even handed over to me…I mean, do I work there????
One day, room was cleaned but did not replenish the facial tissue, the make up towel was not replaced, the sheets were not changed.
I would not recommend anyone to stay at Amara. I wished I stayed in Enchantment instead.

The location is GREAT. The patio, pool and restaurant are beautiful. We only had drinks, can’t rate the food
The rooms are small and not well appointed. Not representative of the price of the stay.
There is no concierge service on site, a “remote” concierge never returned our calls/messages… which again, for the price of the stay & their “luxury” label, concierge assistance (even if by the front desk, not necessarily someone exclusively dedicated) is expected.

Some parts are getting a little tired/dated. Also, ants kept getting in the room

The location overlooking Oak Creek is simply wonderful with an abundance of wildlife! The infinity pool is well maintained and offers a very refreshing cool-down after hiking on a warm summer day. The food and service on the patio of Saltrock were excellent!

Clean updated rooms. Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Pool and restaurant on site with access to Oak Creek
The pool area was small. Pool was dirty and no attendant cleaning the area.

Comfortable and beautiful room. Attentive friendly people at front desk. José and the lady that check me inn, where very attentive and profesional, though they couldn't solve the problem.
The restaurant at the hotel has bad service and food. They can intoxicate you, if you have allergies.
You order room service and they forget about your order.
NO RESPECT from HOUSEKEPPING what so ever for the guest. NO REST. You are only able to sleep from midnight to 5.30am in the morning.
No soundprooof rooms.
Basically, you can't sleep after 8am.
Hard noise from 8am to 12 from banging doors, housekeepers, even on Sunday.
Upstair neighbors wake you at 5.30am. Then at night, side neighbors noise and terrace from 8pm until 12 midnight. No peace inside your room, not at night and not in the morning.
On my stay, I had spend more hours calling reception, than enjoying the hotel.

Clean. Nice location by the river.
Pool was small. Issues with initial room: mis represented and by the noisy restaurant for $800/night.

An amazing location located right on Oak Creek. The staff was amazing so helpful and friendly.
I thought as a boutique hotel, it would be more couples, but there were a lot of children and families at the resort, took away some of the peace, quiet and relaxation due to all the kids

Lovely rooms and outdoor sitting area.
I would avoid rooms 326,328 and surrounding rooms if you like sitting outdoors on balcony /patio. These rooms have pathetic patio facing fence and air conditioner. I was very disappointed because I picked the hotel so I could view the mountains from my room and have coffee. Very bad rooms for that and at $700 a night very disappointed.

Nice resort of a lower 4 start level. Central location. Nice views. The whole experience was just 'ok'. They did let us get to our room early.
Price was for 5 start and we got low 4 start. Not a good value. Sheets for spare bid came to us wet. No exhaust vent in the bathroom. Missing towel holder with wall cleats exposed.

The spa, infinity pool, canyon view and access to the creek.
The pool area was unkept, mostly by people not putting away their used towels in the bins. Also, the hotel walls are paper thin as one can hear everything from laughter, to voices and cleaning noise.
