The hotel smelled bad, had a rude front desk person, and on top of that, they double charged me

The cleaning lady was nice and let me back into my room.

There's a funky smell that hits you in the face as soon as you enter. You feel like you've just entered India. The worker at the front desk was cankerous. When I was away, he wouldnt let my girlfriend back in the room, wouldnt give her another swipe card, and he told her to stop smiling; and on top of it all they double charged me.

The hotel was old and smelled of meldew the second we walked in the door. The staff behind the counter was rude. He act as if he did not want to answer any questions. He was not even in work attire. He was walking around in some shorts and a T shirt. Very unprofessional looking so we canceled and went somewhere else.

The room that I reserved was a very good deal, the room was very comfortable and clean.

The location was the only thing that I wish I could change. It is a little far away from the port and they were working on the nearest highway whenever I stayed there. It was a bit of a hassle, but worth it.

We honestly loved the property. The hotel was nice, the location was great, the room was beautiful and it had everything we needed, and more.

Our blow dryer sounded like it was going to blow up so i brought it to the front, so we were out of a blow dryer for 2 nights, but I wouldn't let that ruin my stay. It really stunk, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The ONLY thing that I was really upset and disappointed about was the breakfast. Breakfast is one of my BIGGEST things when I book a stay and our breakfast sausage was not fully cooked, the milk in the glass in the mini fridge, was very badly curdled, and the cereal was super stale (which I can completely understand and that didn't really bother me as much). Breakfast is honestly a top priority at a hotel for me and my family, so it definitely put a damper on our experience.

absolutely not 8 stars. there was mold, white stains on the couch, mold in the window seal, AND plumbing issues to the point we couldn’t even use the bathroom- then when we reached out to the front desk they informed us no manager was there. when we called at the time she said he would be back, he informed us there was nothing they could do since we had left to board our cruise, already? there were several customers outside with problems with their stay.

The location is great

I was very dissapointed. The hotel needs a major update. As soon as you walk in the lobby, the smell is very bad and the front desk guy was not very welcoming. When we got in our room, the sofa had rips and was dirty. There's water leaks stains on the ceiling , carpet was very dirty, patches on the walls and they were also dirty. On their website it states that they charge $25 for late check out at 1pm and $50 for late check out at 3pm. I received a call after I left at 1pm stating that my card had declined. When I asked how much he was trying to charge, he said $50. I told him it states it's $25 for checkout at 1pm on their website, he said its $25 PER HOUR, but he agreed to only charge $25. So if you're thinking about doing late check out, confirm that they are charging the correct amount.

Baymont is by far the best hotel I've stayed in around here. The rooms are super nice. The staff is great. I definitely will recommend Baymont to anyone looking for a room.

I wish they had a smoking section. Lol. But EVERYTHING else was amazing.
