Motel 6-Portland, OR - Tigard West

No fridge or microwave. ??? I’ve never seen that. Also my heat did not work. At all! It was 33 degrees outside and probably 40 in the room. They said to turn it to 90 or it won’t. Still doesn’t work. We slept in our clothes and hoodes all night. Springs in the back all night long and freezing. Called front desk and let them know in the morning and they seemed so sorry and said they. Would see what they could do. I checked out and brought it up and all she said was oh no I’m sorry. Have a good day. I doubt they would have liked to pay for a room that was freezing cold with no heat no fan in the bathroom and tweaks outside all night.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants near by.

At parking lots I saw one sign board where they are mentioned that They are not responsible for damage or mashing glass of the car. After all Gaust park there car inside motel’s property.

False advertising on website. Bathroom, you can barely use and walk into. Non-smoking room. Smell like smoke. Bed was hard with the springs, poking our backs.

There was no breakfast. The place was clean and well lit. The white walls were nice.

There is no elevator. The toilet had too much water in the toilet bowl. That’s okay for women but not for us men. It was uncomfortable.

Location with plenty of eating options within walking distance of the hotel . The lobby and hallways were clean and tidy . Plenty of free coffee and fixings when requested. We were on the 3rd floor so it was enjoyable being able to have the drapes open and still feel private from the parking lot behind us. The TV , refrigerator and microwave in the room were a pleasant addition. They also had a coffee and tea offered in the morning hours in the lobby. The lack of any furniture except for 2 small hard chairs made the room less inviting, could have definitely enjoyed a soft chair or small couch to relax on instead of just the beds . All in all it's a very satisfying property to lodge at .

The toilet in the room had problems flushing and extremely low water pressure in all the running water. The beds were on a platform type of frame and the mattress was not very comfortable.

Room v tired, and I would say well, for price it was ok EXCEPT we came back a few nights later and what a difference - fun chap on reception rather than the ones who didn't smile or engage during this stay, better room rather than the great size but dreadful decor basement one we had here. Like two different places.

Half of the pillow cases were stained with yellow spots. The queen mattress was lumpy and gave out during the night. The inner springs poked me, preventing comfortable sleep. I reported it to the a.m. staff and he was courteous but could do nothing.
