Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Anderson by IHG

The overnight staff were so friendly and welcoming! The atmosphere of the lobby felt relaxed and everyone seemed comfortable. We appreciated the breakfast quality and variety between the two days. The room was clean and honestly exceeded expectations. Certainly the place we will stay again in Anderson!

The location

Room cleanliness. Rooms were extremely dirty with construction debris, dust and poor air quality. This caused extreme coughing and soar throat after just a couple hours in the room. At the A.M. breakfast service there were many food safety violations. Cleaning sanitizers were not present or ever used to clean tables or food areas. One green rag was used to clean all surfaces but no sanitizer was used. See photos for green rag. Personal beverage containers in food prep areas. No drying racks for dishes so all containers were “wet nested” which causes bacteria to grow. My suggestion on food safety is a serious audit and creation of good processes because someone is going to get sick. It is surprising that no one has gotten sick or the state hasn’t shut the food service down.

Everything was great !!! The staff was very nice. I was there back in September 2024 with my daughter who was in stage 5 kidney failure. I needed a wheelchair for her and the staff gave me a chair with wheels , worked perfectly. The staff remembered me made me feel good.

I have no complaints

The lady at check in was very accommodating and helpful. Even cleaned up my spill on the desk. Breakfast was great and fulfilling.

I called about the swimming pool and they told me it was open. Then after we check in they say it's closed so we left and requested a refund

Location was great. Breakfast was just ok. Nothing exceptional. Rooms really need updating. Shower was narrow and slippery and there were no handrails. Toilet was way too low. Again, bathroom was subpar. Every time I took a shower, I was afraid I would fall.

The property was centrally located. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent!

The furniture needs upgrading. The pool was horrible and in my opinion unusable.

it was close to shopping & the venue we were going to for a wedding , breakfast was decent if you got there early

it was under construction, noises from the road outside penetrated the room, breakfast items not restocked frequent enough to maintain good selection of items

The breakfast on Saturday could be better. The Sunday breakfast was excellent.

Quite clean rooms very good breakfast.

The toilets are way too low and your beds are extremely high. In fact, t he beds are so high the only way for me to get on the bed is to roll on the edge and then roll into the bed or maybe you should consider a ladder . I am 69 yrs old and that is not a pretty sight to see and it is painful for me since I have arthritis.

The food was better than what I expected - there was a full range of food

I fully realize that you are still undergoing renovations so my only complaint is most likely related to that. We had to keep putting water in the toilet tank in order to flush the toilet. Other than that the room was spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy

Early morning staff were exstreamly rude when I tried at ask about morning breakfast, room had a lot of broken or worn out shower , toilet I almost fell off a couple of times because the toilet seat was broken

Overall property was in a state of disrepair. Remodeling going on. Would like to have known that before I booked as I would have stayed elsewhere. Breakfast was not good. Old eggs and dry sausage was not good. Wifi was slow.
