Nice place to stay

Location close to expressway, downtown Carmel and Indianapolis. Breakfast was actually good. One of the best breakfasts we had

Bed was not that comfortable. Toilet was not a tall toilet and shower OK. Wife complained that it was not hot enough. In the workout room the elliptical worked but was damaged.

The check in staff was excellent. The bed and room was nice.

The check out staff was not friendly, no good morning no thank you forstayingwith us, nothing. The breakfast was cold. Have a little more selection of breakfast foods, but make sure it is hot, or at the least warm.

Great budget stay!

Friendly staff, with great facilities and comfortable bed and pillows! Good breakfast and with coffee always available at the reception. We came to Carmel for the Christmas Market, and there is a shuttle bus from a 5min walking distance, which really made a difference! Check-in and out times are great as well!

Toilet flush seem inefficient or not really functional. Other than that, everything was great.

Would Return

The staff members were very friendly and checked us in very quickly. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was very quiet. We had the breakfast and noticed that they replenished all of the food items until the end of breakfast, which I've noticed most hotels tend not to do that. The location was perfect. Far enough from the city center to be much more affordable, but only a 5 minute drive away.

The bed was not the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, but it was still satisfactory.

The staff were polite, friendly, helpful, and competent. I couldn’t have asked for better.

The room had a pungent, antiseptic smell. It reminded me of Clorox all purpose cleaner. The breakfast was absolutely the worst I have ever had at any hotel or motel in my 79 years.

The breakfast was great. Excellent quality and variety to choose from. Bed was comfortable. Front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful when I checked in late in the evening.

Light switch inside door to room did not control any light fixture, not even the floor lamp inside the door. Surprisingly and disappointingly the switch only controlled the ceiling fan above the door. I had to go to the front desk to have the nice man working that night to come to help me figure out how to turn on a light right inside the door on the floor lamp. I had to turn on the desk lamp and the ceiling light around the wall corner in the wet bar area in order to have any light in the entry way of the room. The bulb in the floor lamp was worthless and super dim, once the front desk clerk and I figured out how to turn it on. When I entered the room, the temperature was set to a chilly 65 degrees in the room with air conditioner blowing very cold air. I quickly turned the thermostat up to make the room comfortable. Floor tiles were cracked badly in bathroom. Wallpaper was peeling in room 101 near the wall mirror, between the bathroom and sink. When I pulled a bath towel from rack in bathroom to use it and opened it up, it had lots of short black hair in the terrycloth fabric which was a HUGE turnoff to discover. Thankfully I saw it before I could use it. I don't know how a maid did not see the dark black hairs imbedded into the terrycloth fabric before she folded it and put it on the rack. This was very gross to see.

It said 2 beds but it was really a king bed and a pull out mattress trundle bed that smelled horrible! My daughter had to sleep on the couch the whole trip which wasn’t comfortable and the hotel was very overpriced for only having one bed for a family.

It was a variety, and I liked that I love having the eggs, sausage and bacon and other things to choose from.

Could not find an ice machine on the second floor and if there was one, I had to walk a mile to find it. That was very inconvenient.

Breakfast was terrible. Staff couldn’t understand requests. Charged premium price for a less than par stay. Sheets had stains. Carpet in room had stains. Bed was uncomfortable. Bath tub was not clean upon arrival.

Price was really high for the product. Both beds had stains in sheets. Carpet had stains. Tub was dirty upon arrival. Uncomfortable bed. Kitchen staff when making a request for a bagel had to ask “what is a bagel again”.

Not Again

It was very clean and the staff was great, very friendly. Room was plenty spacious for three.

The tub was very slippery when taking a shower. The couch is very wide for a seating area. The bed was hard, but not horrible. The breakfast was not edible. The biscuits were hard, bacon was undercooked, and all the hot food was cold.

A nice quiet hotel with great breakfasts!

This hotel was in a really great location and made it easy to get to the things in the area we wanted to visit. (Holliday Park is always worth a visit and it's great for families! - see the attached photo) It's also close to the highway, but not on it, which is a bonus! Even though it was next to a busy road, we didn't notice any extra noise in our room. Loved the mini fridge with sink and counter top which made preparing lunches easy. The breakfast was great - nice variety - and I really, really appreciated alternate milk options: chocolate soy milk and regular almond milk. My son is allergic to dairy so this is always a difficulty when we travel. It was such a relief to have something he could drink at breakfast. The pool was nice to use and the exercise room was small but had the basics needed. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

The bolt lock on our door didn't work, so that was a little frustrating. We used the pull-out trundle bed beneath the couch, which was a nice change from a fold-out bed, but it made traffic to the door very tight and difficult to maneuver around, which I feel was a bit of a fire safety hazard.

Accessibility

It's very hard to find a hotel room that is actually accommodating towards wheelchair users. The heighth of the bed and the size of the room were very appreciated.

I wish there was a roll in shower in a room with a king size bed. There may just not have been any available at the time.
