The cleanliness. The staff was great.
That there was no pool! As stated on booking.com. Also that no free breakfast was included. We specifically picked this hotel for the indoor pool. My children were very disappointed.

Finding out the last day that we'd been entering the hotel by driving up a wrong way exit via sheetz.. when I asked the employee who told us if they thought about putting up a sign, and they said there was a sign, and we had missed it.. I enjoyed having a good laugh when seeing the no left turn sign visible for sheetz customers, but no exit only anywhere.
Renovations are understandable.. but the first thing I noticed at the lobby was a wall mounted TV with. Bunch of jumble wires hanging down. The TV was installed, there was no work being done in the lobby, just looked like someone installed a tv and forgot it needs wires.
First room we had the sleeper sofa listed was a chair.. im the corner with wide open space. We called down to get a room with the sleeper bed as advertised.. we were told there was a sleeper sofa in the room.. after an 8 hour drive we had to wait for the person at the front desk to come up to our room and look and see there was in fact no sleeper sofa.. before we could be moved to a room with a sleeper sofa.. after the 3rd day of our stay we emptied the garbage ourselves. And had to ask for fresh towels from the maids.
Technically we stayed in a hotel, but for those prices I did not anticipate 1.5 stars..
I understand renovations are renovations.. but I don't see where not caring is part of thar process.

The room itself was clean and had a wonderful shower.
The front desk staff person we encountered during our first attempt at checking in and at checkout (same person) was not helpful during either encounter. It appeared that the were under the influence of something which made the interaction quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the AC unit is dated and makes a lot of noise, it was hard to hear the television . The room was stuffy despite adjusting the temperature several times.

No free breakfast, no free coffee or tea in the morning either. Bed uncomfortable

The parking and the bistro which provided some options to dine in
The upkeep of the hotel left a lot to be desired. The AC was noisy and thermostat was malfunctioning. The facility is old and appears that some renovation was on. For the price charged, very little value was provided.

The drains are terrible. In the shower and sink. “Clogged.”

The AC in my room was broken and I was very tired and settled in to the room by the time I realized it. The hotel was a very poor value at $190/night.

Good location, large rooms and friendly staff.
The bathrooms don't have fans, which results in an unpleasant moldy odor.

The woman who ran the breakfast was awesome. Good variety.
The pool was out of service. So that was disappointing for my kids.

Bed was quite comfortable.
Bathroom was great-hot water & great water pressure.
Heating unit didn't provide even heat. Either hi heat or nearly none. Adjusting temp didn't provide even heat.
Silly loveseat/pull out is incredibly uncomfortable.
Breakfast was ok-no hot water for tea; eggs were depleted. Refilled 10 min. later when we were ready to go.

The location was great. The cleanliness and the staff was wonderful and very pleasant.
The only thing I didn't like was the heat in the pool area. But we did get the staff to help make it very comfortable for us. This is my favorite spot to stay when I do visit. Thank you all so much for making our stay comfortable and safe.

The women at the front desk was great and friendly. That was the best part.
Spent the night after a long drive towards NJ. The bed was literally like a rock. my fit 14 yo son woke up with back pain if that’s an indication. The room had a weird smell. The pillows were super uncomfortable. Then there was the bathroom. Soap dish, shower curtain and walls had black mold. The shower curtain looked like it had been burnt and shriveled in the dryer so it wouldn’t fully close. Worst part is, this hotel was more expensive than the surrounding hotels and I chose it because I normally love a Courtyard Marriott. With some new beds and a good room cleaning, this could be a nice place.

The beds were comfortable & it was clean.
Difficult to find, a very big bump at the entrance to the parking lot. We missed the entrance every time we tried to come even with the GPS giving directions. Some staff seemed very disinterested in their jobs - not rude but not terribly friendly. There was a sign that said that fine wines and beer were available for sale but all we were offered we two half filled wine bottles and a half filled bottle of Baileys. I have no idea what the charge was going to be for any of that because I chose not to purchase. Breakfast was coffee & cereal. When I asked for a box to carry the 3 cups, I was told there were none. I felt that the price was rather high for Monroeville & no services.

Very nice, comfortable and clean.
The shower cap was reused and hanging in bathroom. Coffee condiments were open. The price was expensive.

Clean, comfortable
Melissa was so accommodating, professional
Need some USB ports in rooms. Since rooms are not cleaned everyday and we emptied our own garbage , there should be easy access to replacement can liners.
