OK, but nothing like Viceroy, except the price.

, The location was excellent and both pools were very warm.

Didn't seem tidy and there was no attention to detail. When we arrived, they gave me a piece of paper with some rules to sign that looked like interrogation. Aweful, after being in traffic for 4 hours. Some landscaping look untidy and there is dust on evergreen hedges. The piano player at Ingleside's Melvyn's was not very friendly. On check-out, they proceeded to automatically add Amenities Fee, but they didn't tell us that this includes tea and scones, or that it includes the pool at Ingleside. The shower was not working properly and curtain didn't slide well. There was no kettle or tea in our room. The staff at the Avalon bar next to reception was very casual, just flirting between each other and ignoring us. We didn't think this stay was as special or nice as the one with Viceroy. We remembered the amazing Viceroy Hotel, how glamorous and gorgeous the adult pool was. This hotel is nothing like it. Disappointed that it had to change. THe wedding venues were not well-utilised, that area seems wasted and empty.

this is a wonderful property the rooms are clean and comfortable the food is good the pools are great the pool service is great

the loud music at the pool just outside my room is awful we come every year and ask not to be put on the front street or by the pool due to noise as we like to nap in the afternoon and in bed by 9pm i made the reservation 3 months in advance . then called 2 weeks prior to arrival with the same request. upon check in we asked the clerk and she acknowledge we called and our room was quiet. when we got to the room the pool music was loud. we asked to be moved and she said they were booked, she would make sure the music was turned off by 9:00pm and it was not finally i went to the front desk and the new clerk said she will have it turned down, which took 30min… the next day they still did not could not move us… but they did turn off the music outside our room that night..

Memorable stay

Breakfast was great, we have many options and the servings were very generous. Juices were good.

I think the windows before we arrived were left open, there were bugs in the room. But overall, it was a pleasant stay. We loved it. The pool was great, the spa staff were really nice.

I loved how they surprised us with a gigantic fruit plate in honor of my daughter’s college graduation. Everyone was incredibly accommodating! I can’t wait to go again!

The amenities were amazing. Each pool was gorgeous and I loved how they had a kid pool vs adult pool. The restaurant at the hotel was really delicious too.

Our room wasn’t very clean. There were some bugs on the floor throughout the stay. There were stains on the curtains and the whole room just didn’t feel very clean.

there was a hotel special running during our reservation which gave guests a free 3rd night. when we tried to get this applied to our reservation, the manager said we could not take advantage of this special because we had booked through booking.com. I have a hard time believing this.

Lovely place, but needs an extra touch of quiet luxury to make it perfect.

The staff (particularly pool and restaurant) were lovely, and the whole setting is charming. Nice coffee for early morning, lots of water, towels, sunscreen by the pool. The TV channel choice is good.

The music around the pools (*everywhere*) that starts at 9 and goes on until at least 9pm ended up being a bit much. It's great to have a bit of a lounge feel around the pool - but you couldn't escape it, it was too loud, and you couldn't doze off by the pool. Our room was also around the pool and you could hear the music in the room... ALL the time. Noise levels are actually a problem in the hotel - the hallways are noisy, you hear every conversation from every cleaning staff or guest. It is just not as restful as it should be. Nothing in the mini-bar was replaced as we used it; And neither was the free water.

A Great Place With an Old Palm Springs Vibe

Great location, just a block off of Palm Canyon, but far enough away that you don’t get the noise. The property is huge, and very well taken care of. Great, very friendly staff. And the fastest room service I’ve ever had!

The rooms could be better soundproofed. And maybe a Nespresso in the room?

that the cupboards and drawers did not open properly. being old does not mean they have to be in disrepair. at these prices they could hire a professional carpenter to fix the cupboard and drawers.

WORST DESIGNED Room ever. AC unit blew on head of bed. NO dresser drawers. No counter in room. Minimal shelf and hanging space in closet. Big room but only one wooden kitchen chair. Dragged balcony furniture into room Surfaces covered with snacks & drinks for sale. Other rooms the same.
