Went well; very convenient for my purposes. Was able to sleep well.

Nice bed, very spacious room. Very good features within the room.

The room key (code box) kept saying battery needed replacement. The deadbolt for the door didn't fit in the slot and so was useless. The bathroom fan made a very unpleasant noise when used. When the laundry facilities elsewhere in the hotel were being used, it caused clear vibrations in the floor of my room.

Close to what we came to San Jose to do. Bed was comfortable. Can’t hear outside noise.

Room was not very clean and staff was just so-so. Hair all over the place and someone’s used blemish stickers on the shower wall. Bathtub did not work. Very run down facility with some makeup on it to make it seem decent.

checked in for one day and left to another hotel

this is a small boutique hotel with really no amenities. there's a lounge type area in the lobby where they have coffee drinks and fountain machines for other types of drinks. that's about it.

There's no staff around. There's a machine with a "virtual" attendant to check you in, which I found weird. The room itself is very outdated and the bathrooms were really run down, the sink barely has a drip coming out of it. overall the room seemed dirty and dingy. bedsheets had stains on them (nasty) and the place overall is in a bad area on the other side of Valley Fair mall across from a dispensary, tatoo shop and gas station. really shady spot. I would not bring kids here.

I liked where it was located

I didn’t like how visible you were to the outside. The decor inside the room was odd and out of place. Did not have many toiletries. You were able to hear just about anything from outside.

Great staff bad location for quality sleep

The staff was very helpful and kind. I loved that the breakfast had oatmilk. Beds were comfy.

The bolt in our room didn’t work. The bathroom lock didn’t work. The smoke detector in our room was beeping due to the battery needing to be changed which we had to call in. The room is right next to a busy street so if you’re a light sleeper you can hear the cars drive by. I woke up every time a loud car drove by, especially if they had loud music. I asked if I could switch rooms the following morning but they were all booked. Hotel and staff is great, just don’t like the location of the rooms.

Check in was fast and easy. Very pleasant staff accommodated my request for a room close to front desk due to my leg injury. Room was big and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was fairly good with some hot items along with the usual continental items.

Since my room was close to front desk and breakfast room there was some noise associated. Not too disturbing though.

Good, But Not Great, For the Price

Our family stay at The Row Hotel was perfectly acceptable, but it didn't quite wow us. Disregarding the road noise, the location was the best part, being steps away from all the shopping and dining at Santana Row, which was a huge convenience. Cardless room entry. We don't have to worry if we could have lost the card key or left it in the room. PIN is more than enough. Parking is free.

Road noise! It's at the corner so request for ear plugs. The room was not clean, especially the carpet. Breakfast is ok but can be improved. All the same for the 5 nights we stayed in the hotel. And options felt a bit limited. Though the hotel met our basic needs and the beds were comfortable, for the price, we might look for a place with a bit more character or specific family-friendly amenities next time.

Comfortable

Ideal location which a short distance - 4 minutes by car, and 15 minutes by foot to Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair. Free parking underneath the building with plenty of parking spots. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Staff at the front desk is courteous. Smooth check in and out

The breakfast was nice

The bathroom was gross. Tile was falling off by the sink, stains in the carpet, shower tub was dirty, and the smoke alarm was covered up with a plastic bag. It smelled terrible in the room so I wonder if they were using it doing drugs.

An exquisite delight

An exquisite modern clean hotel with plenty of parking. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with lovely decor throughout the entire hotel. Loved the virtual checkin and breakfast each morning was tasty and an excellent variety.

It was convenient and clean. There was a nice person at the front desk when we arrived, the next morning the front desk person was live via a laptop. Seemed very futuristic. Good basic breakfast.

Good value, clean room with comfy bed and good pillows.

It is near the hospital where we needed to go visit a family member.

There were some guests acting up-loud screeching for a good bit of time in the evening when we were ready to sleep. The heating didn’t seem to work though we had staff come adjust for us when we couldn’t turn it on. She was amazing and kindly gave us an extra blanket which wasn’t provided in the room sadly.
