Nice home with good facilities and in a quiet area

Very comfortable bed, with a desk and chair provided, which was greatly appreciated for a work meeting. The area was quiet and there was always free parking available right out the front. I appreciated being able to use the washer and dryer after a week of exploring the Rockies in a campervan. The host was very communicative and friendly.

The walls were VERY thin and I could hear everything going on in the house, from people cooking, to using the bathroom, talking, even people brushing their teeth. This was a little frustrating in the evenings, but thankfully things seemed to quieten down around 11pm. Just not the best for a light sleeper or someone who likes to get to sleep earlier than this.

Great communication with the host throughout my entire stay and a really comfortable place to rest my head!

Lovely, quiet and safe location with views overlooking city areas. Bed and room were super comfortable with eve try thing I needed. Best of all the host Tommy helped me out a lot during my stay and even let me store my bags for the day, after I checked out, for my evening flight. 10/10

Great value, big bed, office table, close to train.

Spacious room with a large comfortable clean bed, enough light from the window, and a useful office table. Nice kitchen availability with coffee, tea, and a fridge. Solid shower. Fairly close to a train station that quickly reaches central Vancouver. Bonus patio outside for a nice view from the hill. Responsive polite host.

Great stay and great value.

Tommy was very helpful, accommodating and friendly with my arrival and departure. My overall room was nice and clean - as was the washroom; and the bed was also comfy and clean. Bottled drinking water was provided, and I liked the fact that the room also included a small fridge for my snacks. I liked the location - very close to Wellington and also close to Hastings.

Can't think of anything that I didn't like; or that needed some improvement.

I would say overall I have a satisfying experience over the time I stay here.

I like how Tommy, the property owner, is very accommodating and explains everything inside the house to me. He also lent me his phone charger as I forgot to bring mine when I left my home in another city. He also communicates with other tenants when there is a problem, to play the role of a mediator properly

While the property owner is very helpful and responsive, some tenants living inside the house are causing some unpleasant moments. The property owner seems to struggle to interact with one of them, who always likes to slam the door, regardless it is in the morning or late at night. Also, it is not something I dislike but I did not expect there were many people living in this property.

Quiet Neighborhood across from a school.

!!!!THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE DO NOT ACCURATELY REFLECT THE PROPERTY!!!! ***THERE IS A CAMERA ON THE KITCHEN WALL THAT VIEWS EVERYTHING FROM THE KITCHEN AND HALLWAY*** Absolutely disgusting shared bathroom. The shower was covered in soap scum. Anywhere there was grout or sealant was covered in black mold. The paint on the shower ceiling was peeling and the drywall was covered in mold. He charges $50 for "cleaning" but I'd bet my own $50 not a penny of it actually gets put into cleaning. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in at least a week. The room was pathetic. A busted up Ikea desk, cheap flimsy desk chair and the walls hadn't been painted in years. The owner took a 2-3 bedroom 1200sq foot bungalow, got rid of the living room and built 2 extra bedrooms in its place. Tiny kitchen is also shared with whatever tenants he has staying there long term. I was embarrassed to have actually booked this place for a friend, but since I was getting charged anyway, it was too late to back out. The owner required us to be there before 11pm and told us he would be there to take payment. We arrived just before 1030pm and had to wait an hour for him to take the bus to get there. THIS IS A TERRIBLE PLACE TO STAY. The owner seems to use it for either low income renters or possibly foreign students and does not put a penny back into the property.

Great Hospitality and Quiet Atmosphere

I had a great stay at this place. It’s very quiet and peaceful, which made my time there very comfortable. The apartment was clean and cozy, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. They also allowed me to check in earlier than planned, which was much appreciated. Thank you for the hospitality, and I highly recommend this place to other travelers!

Budget friendly, transit friendly, needs a more refined eye when cleaning.

The location is fantastic. Great bus connections to popular shopping areas and SFU Walkable to grocery stores, lots of restaurants and a pharmacy. Great view from my room with lots of natural light. Heating was comfortable level. The bed is comfortable. On-site laundry was a huge help. There is a nice outdoor space but the weather did not cooperate. The host was responsive and helpful.

The level of cleanliness. I had read the reviews and brought my own cleaning supplies and gave it a good scrub. There were items from previous guests under the bed. Also, the bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. I decided not to use the kitchen based on the cleanliness. A good clean from top to bottom would go a long way.

Exceptional

The room was really the perfect size for me. The shower had excellent water pressure as well as temperature regulation. The medium-sized personal fridge was such a nice touch too. I'm lazy so didn't use the kitchen much, but whenever I did the appliances and recycling were all quite easy to figure out. My room's door had a standard turnkey lock but also a safety sliding lock overhead. I never had any questions about my safety due to that😊 The washer and dryer are modern, so they had so many options for customisation. The home is surrounded by so much lush nature too, so I really felt that I got to breathe well every night with the window open. The owner is really no-frills direct, which I like. Instructions prior to checking in were all clear and easy to understand. I'm grateful to have stayed here while visiting Burnaby and Vancouver.

The room.didnt match the description on the website. The kitchen has a funny smell. The bathroom shower was very tiny and the light bulbs were burned out. Lots of stairs going down to the back of the house with poor lighting. The basement was very cold. The host was not friendly and was always going outside for a smoke. I would not recommend this stay to anyone ... very disappointed!!

it was so dirty, from outside to inside, kitchen was disgusting, the bed smelled like dirty sweaty feet, I had to move the bed to move the air cover and there was so much dirt it totally gross.
