Lovely place to stay for families who want to cook their meals.

Great Place to Stay

Great little place that suited our needs for a brief stay over in Vancouver. Only a short walk to the sky train. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Great facilities to use for cooking, however, we didn't use them.

Comfortable stay with easy access to city centre

Really great location only a 10 mins walk to the SkyTrain (metro) which ran every 5 mins into the city centre - took just over 20 mins. Quiet neighbourhood and really great to have an oven and stovetop. The kitchen was fully stocked with usable if a little old equipment.

Fine rental unit with potential to be better

Check in and check out was very easy. Having the full kitchen worked out great to cook breakfast in the mornings. I appreciate the coffee supplied in the rental as well. Thank you!

The rental unit was "okay" in terms of cleanliness but there were obvious areas which have not been adequately cleaned in a long while, particularly on top of surfaces such as the fridge and microwave. Also, there are areas that should probably be cleaned on at least a monthly basis such as the baseboards, walls, and a deep cleaning in the bathroom. There was hair and other body grooming leftovers in the bathroom when we arrived as there was an attempt to cover up some of the mold/mildew building up in the shower but the solution being used is not a good one. See photos for details on cleanliness. There were a couple nights where dogs were barking loudly and it woke me up. There is a dog on property and I'm unsure if it was this dog or the neighbors dogs but it was loud enough to wake me up at 5 am nonetheless.

Stay at New Westminster, BC

The unit was cleaned, Wi-Fi, TV cable, and the space for 3 was excellent. Renter was very kind and available at all times. We got 2 big fans for living room and bedroom.

Not enough utensils in the kitchen, dryer doesn't work properly, washer stop working, bigger trash bin, shower head without lock, bed too low, not enough sheets, no air conditioning.

We had nice experience for our family vacation in British Columbia.

Easy communication. Convenient travelling. Metropolis is just 2 stops on sky train. Walk distance to the nearest sky train station. Suitable for family vacation. Even a board game box and some books were available in the suit when we were together indoor. We could park a car overnight as well.

Don't stay here unless you really have to!

Nothing to be liked except easy check-in with a door code. This is not a "Villa". False advertisement! It should be advertised as a basement as that is what you will get and pretty deep under ground one, you have a "nice" view of the foundation wall through the windows, literally buried underground. It was very humid and warm during the night of our stay, NO A/C, no ceiling fans and the windows have double locks which I didnt notice right away, just the regular one so we were suffocation for the first half of the night until we finally figured how to open them as there is a second lock as well.

Contacted the host at midnight to ask how to open the windows, but that was too late, host didnt reply. we got a reply in the morning that they will try to fix everything but they won't as I read previous reviews and there were many people complaining about the same things, like no enough towels for everyone, you'll get just ONE hand towel and we were a group of 5. There are only two table spoons, only 3 glasses, odd numbers of everything, everything mismatched, two scratched teflon small pots, and most importantly beds very uncomfortable and in need of immediate replacement. You will not have a good night rest here for sure! One full and one queen bed, not comfortable at all. The night before we stayed at a hotel with two king beds and Free hot breakfast in the morning for $17 less than what we paid to stay here. What a joke!
