Awesome

I loved everything about the hotel except for the fact that it was hard to find, as we drove in at night and signage wasn’t great. The rooms were also a touch small. Staff was amazing, awesome location, breakfast was great and I loved the coffee machine. I will definitely be staying here again at the end of January

Next time I visit Metro Vancouver, I am booking the Queens Hotel.

I liked the good security of the building. It is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The parking lot had great lighting and I felt I didn't need to worry about my new car being vandalized. The Queens Hotel is secure password entry and the lobby is very quiet and like being at home with lots of nice homelike touches. It felt like my own living room. If you want fancy and glitzy, you should book the Marriott. The beds and linen were awesome. If you are driving, the best part is that it is close to everything you want to visit. Vancouver, Delta, New Westminster, Burnaby, Surrey and the Fraser Valley plus YVR airport and Tsawwassen Ferry terminals are a quick commute away.

I stayed at a Coast Hotel in November and they wowed me with a 75 inch TV on the wall. If you want to watch anything on TV at Queens Hotel, the equipment is super tiny. Maybe 32 inch TV.

The high rating felt misleading, and overall, I was disappointed.

The parking is free and located behind the hotel. The surrounds are quiet in the evening. Two bottles of water are provided, which is a thoughtful touch. The room meets all the basic needs.

The experience did not match the value. There is no lift, and both the building and the room facilities feel quite old. I couldn’t even find a proper cup for drinking water in the room (there was only a paper cup next to the bathroom sink, which didn’t feel suitable for drinking). The room was also quite cold when I arrived — the heating was set to 0, and it took a few hours to warm up after I turned it on. In my view, the current rating (>8) feels misleading; a score around 7 would be more accurate.

The bedding was high quality sheets etc. Very clean and the staff was very nice. The fresh bananas and yogurt bars were good and always a supply.

Cute, quirky, and snug.

They have the BEST staff! Incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. They keep the property up well and the free snacks in the lobby are a fun touch. They had air con, which you don’t always find— it was on the louder side, which is perfect in my opinion! We traveled around the area a lot and appreciated the location and vicinity to various major roads (without road noise notable from our room).

Our room was a tight fit! The bed was pushed against a wall, so whoever slept on the “inside” had to scoot to the end of the bed to get up or climb over the other person. We thought it was hilarious but it is something to keep in mind if you’re older or not able to do something like that. You park behind the property in a well lit parking lot. There is a group of adults who clearly spend a majority of their time behind the neighboring liquor store in the shade of the trees at all hours. We weren’t expecting that!

Great customer service

I stayed for 4 nights with my child , staff were friendly and polite on arrival and shown us our room . The twin room I initially booked was a little small , once mentioned my room was upgraded for an additional charge which I was happy with . Rooms were bright and clean with laminated flooring throughout , a fridge , microwave and cable tv. There was complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks on reception daily. I found that the staff went above and beyond and catered to your needs .I would definitely recommend this hotel .

Great place to stay in expensive Vancouver!!

Great place! Vancouver is very expensive so this hotel is very affordable in comparison. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is smallish but perfect for a solo traveler. Very clean, modern. I liked the little art pieces and colors added to the room and check-in area. Also loved the free parking!

Getting there over the bridge was insanely busy with traffic!

Friendly staff upon checking in and checking out. The gentleman even gave us a complimentary flashlight and parking was free.

The noise level during the day time was a bit disruptive. Very loud door slamming while the maids were cleaning rooms and sounded like construction happening in the next room.

The Queens Hotel is a smaller property located in New Westminster. Upon entering, we were immediately hit by a strong chemical odor. The lobby was cluttered and uninviting. After checking in, we discovered there was no elevator and a steep staircase led to the upper floors. The strong smell continued throughout the hallways and into our room. Within a short time, we developed severe headaches. After careful consideration, we had no choice but to check out early as the environment was unbearable. We requested a refund, but were denied because we had “used” the room—despite only washing our hands and not staying. The price-performance ratio was absolutely unjustified. For the same price, there are much better hotels available closer to the airport. Overall, the hotel felt run-down and poorly maintained. In our opinion, it doesn’t deserve any stars. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

Comfortable, Pet friendly, and staff was very personable and pleasant to deal with.

The AC machine in the room was a portable rolling floor style however there was no exhaust vent to push the hot air outside rendering it ineffective.

You get what you pay for.

It was a cheap overnight stay. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room looked modern.

It was super hot in the rooms and the ac unit that is given to you doesn't have a way for you to blow the hot air it produces outside. So while it's on, it doesn't really do much to help cool the room.

Modern clean room interiors with composite, not carpet, flooring. Competent helpful staff. Well-lit parking area at rear.

No free coffee. Come on, folks. We’re paying sky-high Vancouver prices for a basic but modern motel room with no breakfast and you want me to charge me $1.25 for a morning coffee?! Customer service 101: free coffee sets a tone.
