The staff is nice, rooms and areas are clean view is great
Every thing seems broken, and we could not get to our rooms till after 7 as they were not ready, even though we asked for early check in, instead we got a late one, no tram and no boat makes for unhappy guests everywhere, although I enjoy walking I found myself surrounded by 100’s of families who do not

Great facility
Too much attempt to make money

Resort is well laid out and has great pools. I had easy access to pool beds and towels.
Not that it’s a bad thing, but more access to onsite food options would be helpful especially for room service.

Beautiful grounds with a lovely lagoon and fun rentals (though pricey). The Makai pool area was great, and the slide was a hit.
However, we booked the Huntington Tower, which doesn’t exist, and were placed in the Palace Tower that’s currently under construction. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the Palace Tower to parking and the pool. Breakfast was moved to a ballroom, which didn’t feel nice. Food options on-site are very limited, and the lunch restaurant was overpriced with a 40-minute wait just for hotdogs. The property also isn’t fully accessible through the hotel — only certain designated areas are connected.

Nice landscaping
We were in a building that was a building zone with scaffolding dust sheets and noise and we were not warned this was the state of the building we were in. It was certainly not the experience I hoped for. Disappointing.

Did not include anything. Not a good value for price. Was extremely outdated, didn’t feel clean.

The natural swim pool was good, saying that it was always super crowded. If u love to be stuck in traffic jams and lines rather than enjoy your time then this is a place for you,
Its a city not a hotel, takes 40 mins to an hour to get to your room by a train from anywhere. Super dirty with construction zones everywhere. Depressing rooms, uncomfortable beds. Staff are slow and some super rude; they make u wait for 30 mins in order to be sited for a buffet breakfast when there are plenty of empty tables. Manager was of no help so why even have him. Breakfast had poor selections. People were wandering around being lost as they cannot find any restaurants or facilities. Restaurants are closed most of the time.

Boats weren’t working which was disappointing

The breakfast was extremely and excessively expensive and overpriced.
The rooms were dirty and dust covered every surface even after housekeeping came in. My granddaughter had to have respiratory treatments because of the lack of cleanliness. There was cockroaches on the wall and the bed was so uncomfortable I had to lay pillows and all my cloths down to sleep on top of.

Hawaii is magical. I loved being based here and the nearby shopping areas were great.
There's not a very good choice of food - mostly burgers and pizzas etc. So it's worth using the shuttle to go to the shopping areas and the restaurants and shops there.
I also had a LOT of cockroaches in my room. I didn't really mind at first as I expected bugs in Hawaii, but after the 9th cockroach, I had to change rooms. I had asked earlier but was told they wouldn't change for a couple of cockroaches as this is pretty standard. By the time I saw the 9th one, I insisted.
I was also unimpressed with the upselling throughout the trip. This started on arrival and I was sold an 'upgrade' to a room that led on to the pool. This might be considered an upgrade for families but not for a solo traveler. It was during school holidays so it was very busy with children. This was also the room with the 9 cockroaches, and on checkout I asked for a refund of the upgraded amount but was refused.
Also, they will do anything to sell you a time share. I got caught at a presentation which all seemed very positive but not right for me. They were really pushy and it made me very uncomfortable.

The pools were great and most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The tram wait is too long, parking or valets should also be around the palace tower and not so far away. The rooms were both extremely dusty and dirty even after house keeping. My grand daughter had to have breathing treatments every day because of it. We saw cockroaches in our room. The bed was so hard and painful to sleep on that I had to lay pillows down and sleep on top of them. Average food and way overpriced so we only ate at the resort once during our week stay.

Location, room size, views, staff
Need more breakfast options, the DVD film option is very antiquated, paying for parking.

The view from the room was excellent.
The breakfast was OK. Very expensive and not matching the quality for $55 per person. The shower door was not sealed and leaking water. Although I requested the daily room service, they didn't do it.

Nice property. Pools could use umbrellas
Sunset dinner at KPC was awesome. Friendly helpful staff
AC in room did not work at first. Maintenance got it going but we had no local control of fan speed or temperature
Hallway was noisy outside room in palace tower

Location was decent and staff were nice. This was specifically for the Palace Tower.
Palace tower feels outdated and unkept. You can hear anyone who walks through the hallway and there are no amenities for the Palace tower, you have to walk. Aside from that you have no true beach access, the onsite restaurants are mediocre at best. The hotel feels like it’s stuck in the early 2000s. The only thing about this hotel that is appealing is the ocean view and the lagoon / dolphins, but even those things feel like they are cash grabs for lack luster experiences.
No beach access is crazy considering where the hotel is.
Save your money or stay at a nicer hotel with beach access. Charter a catamaran for your experience or go snorkel the local beaches, which are plenty within a 15 minute drive. This place needs serious renovations and more options for quick bites, especially in the morning.
The only good thing I would say is that this resort is good for families with kids.

The room was comfortable and the pool was nice too. I also enjoyed the gym.
I did not like how large the property was and how I felt trapped inside when I wanted to get out. Parking is so expensive so that also made me feel trapped. I did not like the food choices and it was so expensive to eat there. The little tram was slower than walking to get around the property. I would not stay here again, it was way too big. Also they try to get you to go to a time share presentation and I did not like that either. If it had a little Hawaiian food restaurant and a store with food that was not so expensive, that would be great. It would also be nice if parking were cheaper and if they never asked me about a timeshare presentation, which they did about five times during our stay.

We loved the lagoon for snorkeling and the dolphins.
We hated the lack of shade. For the price of the rooms, you should provide pool umbrellas to provide shade for your guests. There was only one group of the chairs at the pool and less than 8 umbrellas at the lagoon that provide shade throughout the day and they were always taken by 6am. We realize you are trying to make us pay for shaded seats but these should be automatically provided like they are at other hotels, not extra hundreds of dollars.

There was absolutely no reason to even leave the resort, it literally had everything!! My granddaughter loved the pool she loved the dolphins… the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!! The views from my room was outstanding! The room was clean and they even put fresh flowers on my bed everyday!!
The small market prices were extremely expensive, so stop by grocery store and pick up some late night snacks and drinks… also no microwave in the room!

Love the dolphins and the ocean view
Good prices are more like highway robbery and the food quality is not even that good. Room had no light. Cost of dry cleaning is absurdly high. Staff is good but not fantastic. This resort is way past its prime and needs to upgrade. Housekeeping on request only. If you don’t ask they would never clean your room or give you fresh towels for entire stay. Hilton is really falling behind at this resort.

This is the second stay at the property... Rooms are very good sized..The facility are excellent, The dolphin pool is a great attraction,
The cost for the actual stay is incredibly high... Self parking rates are ridiculous given we are not parking in a city. Both stays we have had to walk from the Ocean Place to the lobby 90% of the time as the tram schedule is brutally slow. Beverages (alcoholic) $30 for a Mai Tai in a plastic cup are way too much. I don't like the over the top taxes and fees that are way too high. I can more than afford the cost of the stay, however I can stay at other locations for less.

I believe this property had its time in the past and now has just been forgotten
We found a cockroach in our bedroom. Our bathroom is filthy. Housekeeping only comes in if you call them for 24 hours notice and when they do, they only just fix your bed and may bring a couple of extra towels service. The staff is not happy there everything is about the money very rundown listen to all the reviews and do not go.

View excellent - Lagoon and pool were beyond expectations
Could use a couple of additional restaurants AND parking fees for a rental car are outrageous at $48 a day

The room was supposed to be resort view, it was golf course view when I called the desk they said it’s listed as a resort view, it was not.

Not one thing we didn't like. Spectacular resort!

Resort had so much to offer, recreation-wise. Pools, lagoon, kayaks to rent., etc. Very nice and relaxing stay.
Could probably use one more dining option on-site. Or a bigger menu for the Tap Room.

Nice fish in the lagoon
The service was terrible because the staff are not trained or friendly. I think the place it way too large for them to manage effectively. The food was triple the price of any restaurant outside the village indicating that they really exploit the customers because they are trapped in this very large space and cannot easily get out. There is no direct beach access, so we had to go to the neighboring Marriott hotel to access the beach. The Marriott hotel seemed great and we should have stayed there.

Incredible location. Property was well manicured but buildings feel older and need upkeep. Beautiful grounds and loved the ocean crashing beyond the property. Food was good but we didn’t eat much at resort due to pricing.
Bed was average-not what I expect from a Hilton especially at the price. Our bed sheets were ripped. No maid service unless you called 48 hours in advance. Felt like there was an extra charge at every turn.
