TERRIBLE! Don’t stay here!!!

Nothing. It was dangerous and unacceptable. I left.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! A man watched me go into my room then followed me to the CVS. I packed my things and gave the key back in under an hour. I had a police officer bring me an across the street to a safe hotel: Double Tree by Hilton. At Red Roof in I was either going to be human trafficked or murdered in my sleep. The police told me they let people from the local jail out and those men book rooms at the Red Roof In. Those men also steal from the Plum Market grocery store there and the police are always called there.

Location and helpfulness of staff allowing me a late checkout as I was running late

HVAC system is poor.

Friendly staff, convenient parking.

Thermostat was a mess: set it to one temperate, heating continues until it's several degrees over the setting. Set it back a few degrees, it's gets several degrees colder than the setting. It was very difficult to get comfortable and get a good night's sleep.

Just what we needed.

Clean, comfortable. Great coffee in the lobby. Probably came fron Panera. Loved having Panera Bread and Plum Market on the grounds. Not far from University Hospital.

We were given shampoo but no conditioner. Towels are a ittle skimpy.

I would never stay here.

Yes,the employee at the desk allowed us to cancel the room shortly after check in.

The bedding though was probably laundered had stains all over the sheets. The property didnt feel safe. (Gut feeling) Too many in my opinion shady people all over that may or may not have been staying there.

The property is worn down. Our bathtub had rust in the bottom of it in the rooms really needed a good painting and deep cleaning.

Our experience

The value & distance to the hospital is very important for us.

Has nothing really to do with the motel. However both times I've stayed there has been someone who parks so close to my driver's side door I have to get my son to back the car out of the parking spot before we can leave.

Not worth the money.

The man that checked us in and out was super friendly.

It was a king size bed that was lumpy. The bathroom had an exhaust fan that screeched, and the light flickered. The shower was dirty and had hair on the wall. My boyfriend and I both have gray hair. The hair dryer had fallen off the wall and was lying by the sink.

If you need a place to stay with your dog, this is ok

Dog-friendly. Staff were nice and location was great, next to supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Air conditioning was nice in the summer.

Furniture and bedroom were old, the rolling chair was fraying. Pillows were deflated and linens were clearly well worn but clean. There was dust on top of lamps above the bed, in the slats of the air conditioner, and around the room in general. Not all rooms offer microwave and mini fridge, which was a hassle for us, since we were staying for 5 days. In my opinion, it was not worth the price we paid, but we had no other option at that moment.

Sad…so sad and stressed, and miserable.

Mngr Shawn and Joe attempted to correct..after I extended my stay (w cash- & prior to noted probs): flea bites (both legs), dirty room w/ no room svc. No internet, stench in bathroom * ?prior smokers or mold? Shawn stated no refund due to cash pymnt- I left as soon as I repacked my vehicle ( without refund)

Fleas, no internet, no maid svc, no refund. Homeless person sleeping on sidewalk 4 doors down, transient in dark area of lawn came out begging for money and smokes.

so bad that we didn’t even stay, we left 4 hours after check in. This place is disgustingly bad.

Everyone that works here is super nice and so helpful, I have no complaints there at all.

This place was very beaten up and used. It smelled old and like cigarettes and mildew. The walls were stained and lined with all sorts of crap, including what looked like blood near the tv. All the doors had been kicked in, and it felt very uneasy being there for some reason.

Short travels proved

There is no breakfast but you have a good access to Panera Bread just next door. The parking is great and is easy reachable. Kind of safe and okay place.

Drove from Florida with our dog and it was the best place we stayed in

The area was beautifully kept with lawns and flowers outside. A special area for dogs with a cleaning station. There was a very good small supermarket plus a bakery right next to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. The guy at reception very welcoming and professional

A nice place to stay for a short trip.

Great location, especially like proximity to Plum Market. Nice room, quiet, mostly dark (light creeps thorough above curtain). The bed and pillows were very comfy. I miss small refrigerator and microwave that other hotels have but was not willing to pay so much more just to have those amenities for this trip. AA hotels take FULL advantage of those coming for UofM graduations!! Overall, a nice experience.

As mentioned, a small refrigerator and microwave are nice for stays longer than one day.

Room was dirty - found sock/food/trash under bed. Pill in bathroom on floor. I vacuumed with my travel vacuum then did my friends room. There was late night loud partying - people come in and out of rooms/yelling with loud music. We had to be up at 5:30 am and they were still going on....

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the N campus of UMich, this is the place. It’s affordable and people are nice.

For the purposes of this trip, the room was fine.

Friendly staff. The price of the room was fair.

There was some construction at the site which we didn't know about until we got there. The room needed updating. The tub was stained. No microwave or refrigerator in room.

Value for money

After reading the reports I was a little apprehensive about staying here. However, I was very surprised with my stay. I was checked in by Raymond who was very friendly and polite. At this time I was given the opportunity to pick how often I would like room service. All the reception staff were all very helpful and friendly. I had one small query and they dealt with this very quickly.

Lovely

The staff were very nice, the room was clean mostly, except for the floor, and the bedding was comfortable.

The floor should have been cleaner. It would be nice to have more of a continental breakfast. There were only granola bars. However, I was not feeling well, and they brought the bag to my room.
