We enjoyed our time there very much.

Breakfast buffet was very nice. We had eggs, sausage, sausage biscuits and gravy, hot coffee and juice. There was also fruit, yogurt, cereal, and waffles available. We enjoyed the coffee pot and couch as we watched the Olympics on the big screen TV.

For future remodeling: The toilets were low and the sink a little high, but I'm short. Perhaps safes in the rooms? It was a great room and hotel.

Cleanliness was an issue and was hard to sleep next to the elevator.

Got upgraded to a King bed

Dried urine on the bathroom floor, dried blood stain on bedding. Our room was upgraded to a King, but we were placed directly across from the elevator and people loud all hours of the night.

The staff was very helpful. Very good communication when I needed something or needed answers to my questions. Decent breakfast and I liked that they provided a shuttle (for a fee) to and from the football game.

The breakfast was the best I've seen anywhere; very nice, lots of choices, cold and hot food. I liked that we had a stairwell right next to our room for easy in and out of the building.

The mattress in our room is bad. It needs to be replaced. You could feel the frame through the padding. We didn't sleep very well any night. The temp was hard to control, too. It would cool only to about 2 or 3 degrees above the temp set on. And, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work.

If traveling alone this would be the place to stay

Locations was easy to get to. Easy to get to local stores. Room was very clean.

When flushing the toilet and the tank refilled it sounded as if the fire alarm was going off. Room felt cramped with the two beds.

The hotel was very conveniently located to visit my daughter at the University of Michigan. Approximately eight minutes to central campus. Affordably priced during the off-season.

I actually told my daughter when booking that the reason I chose Hampton Inn over Holiday Inn express Inn and suites was because Hampton Inns are more consistent. You very rarely get a bad one. But this seems to be a bad one! I feel like they bought an existing hotel and rebranded the outside, but haven’t gotten to the inside yet. The room was very small with very worn brown furniture. The staff was civil, but not pleasant. I asked for a wake up call because I worry that I might set my phone wrong and it did not arrive. I think they put the shower gel in the shampoo container in the shower. Some of the pillows were well past their prime. But mostly the furniture was in poor condition. Also, the lighting in the hallways was very uncomfortable fluorescent and bright. Not at all typical of a Hampton Inn where as I’ve said, we tend to book just because they are so consistent and comfortable.

It was not the usual Hampton experience that I have had at other properties. i.e. Marshall, Midland

The staff were friendly and attentive. The lobby appeared to be clean and in order. It was still an attractive property until you got into the details.

The breakfast was average. I must confess not as good as I have experienced in other Hampton Inns in the last couple of years. Potatoes had strange spice on them. Sausage was just off in terms of taste. . I used to stay at this property often and it has declined somewhat in the details. The bathroom by the front desk was not clean when I used it in the morning after breakfast. The bathroom in my room definitely needed attention, not for cleanliness, but the door and ceiling definitely needed repair. This was supposed to accommodate a handicap person and the toilet was pretty much the lowest you can buy.

The hotel was crowded and the breakfast area was overrun with young ladies attending a cheer competition. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. Eggs were so bland. Sausage was not cooked crisp. A bit of yogurt was available but was not replenished when it was gone. No healthy or appetizing choices. Expensive for the quality and location.

Exemplar staff, clean facility, very pleased!

Clean facility Kenyatta was excellent she was very friendly and helpful. The front desk young lady on day shift was also excellent - the young man from Mississippi was also excellent - quick to troubleshoot AC unit and very personable and friendly - well done Hampton - you hired some really good staff and I couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. Good Customer service is hard to find these days and this site was exemplar!!!

Sheets and mattresses protector were ripped … had to ask staff for new ones and put on ourselves! Neighbors loud .. Staff at desk really didn’t care and would have dinged neighbors for $100 and us nothing .! Also pillows had no under covers and had to put on ourselves. Room smelled. Horrible stay! And no compensation back..

The room was super clean (and I'm a clean freak), the staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the free breakfast. They even gave us a little "to go" bag with an apple, bagel and water!
