Relaxing stay in luxury boutique style resort.

Great week in Paradise!

The resort had everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.

That the Sunset bar closed at 8 p.m. Open until at least 9 p.m. would allow for a nightcap after dinner.

Great location, Great food at Lolita's (on site restaurant), Great Staff!

We loved the location of the hotel on the marina and had the ability to walk just about anywhere we needed to go. The pool area was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint was the sliding door to the balcony. The door was hard to open and on the last day we weren't able to open it at all. We notified the front desk and they were going to take care of it but we were checking out that day so I am not sure if it was fixed in a timely manner. On a separate note, I had a pool view which we loved, but if I paid for a marina view and a cruise ship blocked that view which it did 4 of the days I was there, I would have been very upset.

GREAT location in Key west, all the amenities our family needed!

The location was excellent, the parking is very easy as is Uber, and it is walking distance to everything. The gym is well-equipped and well-located next to the pool. The food is excellent for all meals!

The place could use a little refresh in the building with the pool; there is old carpet, etc. The rooms were nice, but also slightly dated. Also, the fact that the cruise ship blocks the oceanfront view for the entire day every day was a surprise, especially for the price. Also, there was HORRIBLE Christmas music playing all day.

Room was very nice. Loved the location of the hotel. Did not stay long enough to use the pool, but it looked lovely from my balcony.

Not have a elevator in the garage was confusing. Once we parked our car and removed our luggage and found out there was no elevator put our luggage back in the car left the garage went to the valet Dudley and he took our luggage and brought it to our room #238 we were more happy. Dudley was great he had our luggage to our room in great time.

We had an oceanfront view that was blocked most of the daylight hours (10am-5pm or later) The view was blocked by a massive cruise ship each day except one. We knew from the room description that there was a chance of this but not to this degree.

The Opal Key Resort was a top highlight of our Key West vacation.

The hotel was in the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Seeing the boats and cruise ships was interesting, as we are cruisers. Our room was very comfortable with understated elegance.

Room was rough looking. With mold/black mildew built up around the door trim. The wall was rotted out at floor and door jam. Spent $800 a night but had nicer rooms at a $120 holiday inn. I know nice rooms exist here. But mine was not the case.

The view and the room were above expectation.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was unexpected. It made the 3-day stay memorable. The suite was very accommodating.

The parking charge took me by surprise as I was told that there was parking next to the resort but not talked about the $30 a day charge. The upgrade to the suite more than made up for the miscommunication though.

The short answer is that we would stay here again. Everything was top shelf.

Facility was very nice, clean and very up to date. The location was really great, right next to Mallory Square. The oil area was great and staff there was very attentive.

We had an ocean view room but wen we woke up the first morning, all we saw was a cruise ship. It was huge and literally blocked our view. It didn't stay too long and it turned out to be a pretty good laugh. We knew from the start that there would be no beach there so If beach is what you want, you'll have to sacrifice location for beach.

The rooms are getting a little worn, the doors to balconies are warping and we got locked out on our balcony during our April stay, this time, the balcony door didn't close without some force I do think throwing a ball across the pool needs to stop. Alcohol & Footballs don't go together in a pool, I saw people leaving the pool because they didn't want to get hit by the ball.

Sunset Key is an amazing experience that you will

Sunset Key was Awesome!!! We highly recommend staying in the cottages! Amazing stay!! We were booked for the Opal Resort but they couldn’t get us near each other since we had different room types. They Recommended that we take Our group over to Sunset Key. I was apprehensive and concerned about the inconvenience of dealing with the ferry. The manager said don’t worry you are going To love it just trust Me….. Well she was right! It was Amazing!! Once you get used to the ferry it’s no big deal. This is the best experience ever! Private cottages that slept the 6 Of us. Every morning they dropped off a basket of goodies just as a surprise and delight gift! It was fantastic! Muffins, orange juice, liquid shots of healthy beverages… it was something different every morning! The restaurant Latitudes was incredible. All the excursions were conveniently located one little ferry ride away. Such an amazing stay! My family LOVED it and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property that is close to everything, but not too close! Nice pool, and a hot tub with perfectly heated water. Free water bottles! Free cookies in the afternoon. Green mountain coffee pods.

Amazing location, good pool and helpful staff

This is our third time at Opal. We love the staff and the rooms, as well as time spent at the pool. They bring you cold washclothes, popsicles, smoothies, etc, which is nice on a hot day.

There was a lot of construction going on during this stay which was a bit of a damper...but hopefully it's wrapping up soon for our next visit in January of 2025.
