You're just 350 metres from a village high street brimming with galleries, gift shops and tempting places to eat, serving up everything from casual bites to award-winning international cuisine. There's plenty to do locally, with a cinema, tennis courts, mini golf and indoor climbing wall within 0.5 miles. The shores of the ever-popular Lake Windermere are 1 mile away, with boat trips, kayaking and paddleboarding all possible on its beautiful waters. Keen walkers can set off directly from the door to explore scenic routes and Wainwrights, including Loughrigg Fell (3 miles). Stroll to Stock Ghyll Force (1 mile) and be rewarded with a striking 20-metre waterfall in a peaceful woodland setting. The National Trust's Stagshaw Gardens (1 mile) is also a great option, with colourful shrubs and tranquil paths.

On arrival, step through the front door into a neat, traditional sitting room where oak flooring, deep-set windows and exposed beams contribute to a warm and welcoming feel. You'll love getting cosy by the wood burner, perhaps popping on the Smart TV in the evenings. Share meals and plan tomorrow's adventures at the dining table, with food prep easy in the contemporary kitchen to the rear.
