The apartment was clean and had an excellent location in the historic centre, close to restaurants and shops and within walking distance of the railway station. It was quiet and dark at night. We particularly appreciated the Illy coffee machine and the capsules supplied by the host. The kitchen had an induction hob, kettle, fridge and the cookware and utensils needed to prepare meals. The older bathroom was well equipped with a shower, bidet and washing machine. The internet worked very well, and we enjoyed using the smart TV. After we contacted the host on arrival, he came to meet us, showed us around and handed over the keys.

The main drawback was insufficient warmth at night. The older building cooled down considerably during our October stay, and no heating was available. The blankets provided were not warm enough for me: at one point I was shivering and needed two blankets, a sweatshirt and trousers to be able to sleep. A proper warm duvet would have made a substantial difference. The floors were also very cold. The pillows were too flat for my preference, and the sofa was not particularly comfortable. We also received no check-in instructions before arrival, causing some initial confusion. A microwave would have been a useful addition to the kitchen to heat up food or milk for a coffee.
